I voted no!

Only had my vrs for four months but I love it so far  .

It's so much fun to drive (and easy!), only bummer is the fuel economy's not that good with my boots but then I wasn't quite ready for an oil burner yet  . (And the furby was too small for my needs)

Maybe the next one could be the 170 diesel vrs in about 10 years time .........................

When i'm old, i'll get a Superb :D

Buy one now and enjoy it ..........fast, reliable, loads of space, respect from other road users :) and still cheap with loads of toys...love it to bits..........had three other Skodas 1.9 sdi octy, 1.9 pd 130 elegance Octy and a Octy Vrs estate ....Superb is best of the lot

Not at all. It's a brilliant car.

New vRS is more "niggly" and not quite so together looking as my MK1, but I have no regrets and would love to be able to afford a Fab for the wife...

Lets face it, if you took off the Skoda badges, and stuck the well-known five rings on the front, you'd get away with it woth a lot of people.

My Mk1 octy was definitely the best choice for me - no regrets there.

They Mk2 is an excellent car in most respects , but there have been too many minor faults for my liking. I wouldn't yet say that I regret buying it but I think there may have been other cars that would have been just as good if not better.

No.

On 3rd and 4th Skoda's now, looking forward to 5th and 6th.

Here Here:thumbup:

I certainly don't regret buying mine - the wife's seems to have had more than it's fair share of faults, though...

3 Octys, and new Superb being delivered in January.....

Why would you want to pretend that your Skoda is an over-priced and uncomfortable Auto-Union? ;)

i don't regret buying it but i regret the mis-represntation that it would have VAG build quality, but prehaps the entire VAG brand isn't quite up to scratch as some would believe?

The 2 Octys which we have still got are great, the Superb has been a let down due to one known fault that Skoda are determined not to sort.

Not in the slightest! was prepared for an onslaught of skoda jokes and jibes about owning a skoda but have had nothing but praise for my mk1 octy VRS,it even impressed an evo owner at my work when he saw it,totally diffirent machines i know but still thats a pretty big compliment in my book!

An odd answer perhaps, but I don't regret buying a 'Skoda', but I do regret buying an 8v Fabia, when I could have had a Octaiva mk1 1.8T SLX for the same money :(

Yes. The last one was brilliant, this one's a disappointment.

Is there a manufacturer with a genuinely national supply network that doesn't have some carp dealers though? I've found that the Glasgow area ones are very helpful and efficient.

Mk1 Octys rule, lets hope the Mk 3 returns to the fold

I suspect the only ones like that would be places like Bentley, Rolls Royce, etc? My old office mate speaks very highly of all the Lexus dealers he's visited, but they do like relieving him of huge amounts of cash for the privilege

Chris

I regret the problems I had with my A5 Elegance TDI but I'm happy with my vRS. Plus SWMBO likes it and she never gelled with the TDI. I loved driving the TDI.

I'll think twice about another *new* Octavia but only long enough to check what they're like instead of ordering one on the basis that it's a Skoda.
