This is my firt post but certainly not my first visit. Have found the site really useful. Collecting new (but mk 1) vRS next week. It seems to have rather odd specs by UK standards: 16' wheels, armrest and (unfortunately) AC rather than climate control. Any ideas what market this was for? Also, what seat covers fit these seats? Don't need anything fancy, just functional.

That does sound funny, when you say new; is it one thats been sat pre-registered at a garage for a while ? I think the're still knocking the Mk1s out for the middle east/china markets might be wrong though.

Careful if it's an import.... Think Skoda UK knock a year off the warrenty if it is ? Can anyone clarify this ?

It's a hatch which has been in the showroom for over 1 year. I assume they do not have particular specs for Ja the Jamaican market, so wondered where it would otherwise have been destined to go.

Do you know what the power output is? Might not be the 180 if destined for

a country with a lower ron petrol.

It seems to be 180. Judging by info trawled in forum, it MAY be Irish spec. Any confirmation?
