Had my RS on the rollers

Featured Replies

My RS made 218 bhp and 241 lb/ft torque. All standard and on 95 Octane too.

Hmm interesting to see that you don't need the light washers in Eire too when you have XID units... :rubchin:

Guess you're happy with the results

Nice one!

Where is the rolling road, and what was the cost, if any?

Standard lights my friend!

Yes very happy with the results. A remap will only add about another 30bhp so am quite happy to leave as is for the moment.

We had a VAGdrivers.net rolling road day at Westward Engineering in Enfield, Co. Meath. Cost was 60 euro.

I cant tell you how much this interests me at the moment, but let's just say that there have been more than a 'few' tests carried out over here!!. Can you tell me what RR it is and can you post up the printout or send me a copy?.

I have to say I like the VRs in Silver.

Confirms what I have thought for a while - sure mine is putting out more than 198bhp too!

Someone else's RS from Ireland who I know made 220 on the same rollers. - Westward Engineering, Enfield, Co.Meath.

My engine code is BWA.

Why dont you change those yellow turning signs bulbs to Philips Silver Vision. I have Silver Octy too and did change those bulbs at the front and at the back. Now it looks superb, no more "friden egg" effect from the main beam and back lights.

What's so funny? ;)

I've managed to find the answer to my own question, It's a Maha RR

Good stuff Trev, sounds like your converting a few of the boys on Vagdrivers.

The difference between a remap and standard is massive. Mine is standard - I drove someone else's Revo Stage 2 (apparently stage 1 gets you most of the way there, tho) Octy II and the urge in 5th and 6th was staggering. If I decide to keep this car long-term, I will almost certainly go stage 1 when warranty is out. Good as the car is out of the box, the remap makes it a proper bahn-stormer.

can you still get revo trials? have they sorted the old issue of not going back to the 'original' map?

If they load the code it will always be on there. I don't think they do a trial for the TFSi but you can buy it with a 30 day money back promise.

Trouble is you won't want to give it back!!.

i want but its a l3x company motor :(

You could have it uninstalled or simply switched off when it comes to returning the car to Lex if you didn't want them to have the benifit

wish they did a trial even just to try out! i would just be scared of them finding out and the car not being under warranty!

You can have a trial - a 30 day trial!!

Ask a dealer if they have an 8 hour trial, they may have one now.

I have a revo on the new rs very good no let up in power have eney one had a intercooler put on yet
