Does anybody know how to remove the front indicator lenses?, I need to clean behind the leading edges as there is a build up of dirt/algae that is visible, yet the gap is too small to get something in to clean the dirt away:rolleyes:

I think you just prise them off, but I'll wait for someone who has actually removed them to confirm

Use a 7mm spanner or socket to remove the 1 screw then it just slides forward and out.

The plastic is sealed all the way round and the only access point to clean inside is through where the bulb holder is attached at the back of the lens.

The bulb holder on my Octy Vrs (51 plate) isn't attached to anything apart from the indicator lens and the wires going into it.

I stripped these down 2 days ago due to condensation build up in one of my lenses.

Make sure you don't lose the rubber washer when you remove the bulb holder from the back of the lens or you won't get a good seal when it's put back together.

I recall that this one screw or bolt is accessed through an apature in the metal work above the lense housing. This access hole is accessible once you've opened the bonnet.

Thanks for the info, the dirt is on the outside between the indicator lens and headlight, cant get in to clean it without removing the indicator lens, and it looks ubsightly as the dirt can be seen thro the lens.

As said above, one fixing holds the indicator to the headlamp unit. Be careful putting the indicator back in, make sure that the plastic lip on the side slots inside the receiver on the headlamp unit.
