VAG-COM Automatic door locking?

Featured Replies

How can I set the doors to autolock when moving off and unlock when the engine is switched off?

I know you can ask the dealers to do it (or big K) but how can you do it yourself? Via VAG-COM?

You can do it through VAGCOM but I don't know how......have to have the full registered version though. ;)

Dave, if you are going to the meet on sunday or live near the north eastern part of the M25 i could do it for you!

go into ccu then Adaptation (10) then go to channel 03 for lock at 15kph and then also Adapt channel 04 for unlocvk when key removed.

think they are the correct channels i will check tomm..

Those channels are the correct ones for the Octavia.

yes they are, you can also turn on and off the beep when you locl/unlock the car and the sound of the std alarm in the cent. conv adaptation channel.

thought they where just wanted to confirm thanks.

you know also you can adjust the idle speed and a few other things..

you can tell/show me on sunday my old china!:D

will do mate

Haven't planned to go to the meet on Sunday Jeff.

Will have a play with vag-com and see how I get on but may take you up on your offer and make a trip round to see you if i get stuck! i'm west of the m25, by the m40

Thanks guys.

no probs, the feature is in module 46 in the adaption channel (10) and it will come up in english telling you what it is (not all do this). To be able to change anything it needs to be regestered.

ill be taking the vag 1552 from work.

Excellent. Did this today - takes about 30 seconds. What an excellent little mod! Thanks for your help guys.

Does anyone know where I might find a list of adaption channels so I can see what else can be played with? (did spend a while going round the Ross-Tech site but couldn't find them :( )

Gimme a shout and I'll pop round to work and do it tomorrow afternoon for you.

Why thank you very much Sir!

I'll give you a buzz.....I think I've got your mobile number some where.

sorry if i sound silly here, newbie. but what exactly is vag-com?? and if i can buy one where from and how much roughly??

vag-com is a diagnostics software written by Ross Tech and they allow you to monitor / change various aspects on your car. The software runs on a laptop which is connected to your VAG car through the OBD port allowing you to change the settings.

See http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/ for more info :)

Bengie, have a look at the first thread in this forum for info on VAG-COM software and the hardware you need to go with it. Oh, and welcome to Briskoda. :D

Big thanks to Master Jedi French...sorted my auto-locking in a couple of minutes....a definate   !

Great chatting with you as usual Jon.

Cheers.

I like the sound of this mod. Also you can apparently set the remote to only open the drivers door, and open the rest on second press (Golf SE's seem to do this by default).

Anyway as my dealer dosn't want/know how to do this, anyone anywhere near Maidstone that would be able to do the honours?

Cheers

Jim.

I can help you with both of these if you like, I live in loughton, essex but I will have to locate my dongle first.
