Moo-ing Rear Brakes

Featured Replies

Hi

I don't know if anyone else suffers from this, but my auto Superb makes what can be best described as a moo-ing noise from the rear end when braking in reverse.

Being auto, using the brakes when reversing is essential. It has been worse since the pads and discs were replaced. Took car back to the dealers, and they decided the rear brakes needing cleaning, but that hasn't helped.

Any ideas guys?

All the Best

Reminds me of a cartoon I saw recently. Picture of a cow laid on the psychiatrists couch. Psychiatrist says: "I wouldn't say you are a mad cow exactly, just a cow with issues"

If you do a search in the Octavia section you will find alot of info on this fault with the octy. I'm not sure how similar the Superb setup is but it could be the same thing.

Just noticed it this morning:( Also in reverse....pads front and rear replaced within the past month....mine a manual though....be interested in any follow up

SWMBO took it back in on Monday, and I think they put another fresh set of pads in on the back. Yet to see if that has made a difference though.

If you had run over a cow then upon inspection it would be all there in black & white (and red as well.....)
