I'm leaving this open till the 13th of January (another week) as by then I should have an idea if I need 10 or 50

If it were me I would probably use one layer of bubble round them, then that tough brown parcel paper, and brown tape. I reckon that would be OK for them.

That's actually a very good suggestion Jason Brown paper can't be that expensive, and neither bubblewrap. It's not the weight, the size is just awkward long...

I bought some number plates online for my last car and they came via first class post in a jiffy bag with bubble wrap on them , so it is a realistic possibility:thumbup:

I can't find any jiffy bags as big as registration plates though? My dubmeister plates came in a cardboard box, but the closest I can find are golfclub sized. Bubblewrap and brown paper is so far leading, although I'm not looking forward wrapping everything up

Brown paper is very cheap on Ebay I've found. I bought about 40 square metres of the stuff last time around and I'm not even close to using it up. Bubble I usually just keep and recycle from packaging I buy stuff in. But to buy, it will probably be cheaper than lots of large jiffy bags. Brown tape is fairly cheap too, and I've found it useful to get one of those cheap and nasty tape dispensers with the blade on it.
