Wish I'd found you sooner! Fabia VRs

Featured Replies

Hi there fellow Skoda owners!

I bought my VRs (Black Magic) in late July when I realised my Rover 75 was using more petrol than a developing nation. It now has 4000 miles on it and lots of dealer visits!

I love the VRs although it's been in a few times for warranty work  :

Driver's seat started creaking

Rear Wiper failed

Rear Washer failed (!)

Front numberplate fell off

Front plastic trim fell off after new numberplate fitted

Another numberplate fitted thanks to wonky fitting! (same visit)

A new cable fitted in the gear change linkage to stop an infuriating vibration at idle (when in neutral). However, 2000 miles on and it is starting to vibrate again...

...and then... (and this is why I wish I'd found BriSkoda sooner!) I noticed a stutter when I re-introduced throttle after a gear change. This took lots of calls to the dealer and Skoda before they would admit there was a problem. They've now done a fix that they said would make it fail its first MOT... Can this be right?!?

Anyhow, I love the car. The look on the face of an ill prepared BMW coup

Hello and Welcome:D

Hello and welcome

Hello and a Happy New Year to you

Welcome

Another biker

Welcome

- I find that the Fab vRS is the nearest thing to a bike, while still being a cage.

Forced to give up biking 6 years ago - way too many drunk weekend visitors over here!

Still it's just not the same.....

Cheers

Bas
