Quite Simple This One ,which Wax Is Best For My Blk Octy Looked At All Of Em And It Comes Down To Two

Poorboys Natty's Blu

Or

Collinite 476s Or 915 Marc De Elegance

Iv'e used a few (not the two on your list) but Harly Wax is the dogs danglies and not too expensive!.

Yes, Harly wax used here too. Very good and great value.

The 476S definately wins if its longevity your looking for...but Nattys is a good choice too IMO.

I use Natty's on my yellow Octy, but will be trying 476 soon!

I use Swissol. Expensive...ish BUT the best !!!

I also use 'Chemical Guys XXX Wax which is less than 1/2 the price and almost as good, (50% Carnauba Wax) when I need to add a layer in the winter

Collinite 915 Marc De Elegance, excellent durability and looks :orb_not_w on Black.

I've attatched a pic of a Black Golf polished with 915 (Golf was detailed by and belongs to Jace on DW) which convinced me to buy some

right then !!!! Collinite 915 Marc De Elegance it is !!! golf looks the dogs mate!!!

I've used Poorboys Natty paste and TBH it doesn't last very long. I want one that lasts ages. IIRC there was an advert for a long lasting wax but I can't remember the name.

Anyone know?

Probably Collinite? That lasts very well.

You won't be disappointed mate, just used mine for the first time on a Black Fiesta and it looks stunning, don't think I'll use another wax now as this seems to do everything, look stunning and long lasting :D

just orderd a pot off ebay!!! what's the best polish to use to mask swirls e.t.c meg's nxt, autoglymm srp or that new autoglymm stuff for dark coloured cars

had a look at both and the einszett looks the best to use, is it easy to apply and polish off by hand, and will it be ok to top it off with a coat of collinite

On black I'd personally go for a layer of Meg's Gold Class and then a layer of either Collinite 476 or 915. I use GC and 476, but don't have personal experience of 915. It's supposed to produce a slightly deeper shine, at the cost of outright durability.

Any of the ones you've mentioned should produce good results though, IMO. Be sure to post some pics when you've finished

I've just started to boost my cleaning arsenal, see what's running out and what I can add - I must be able to smell spring in the air :D

Yup!!! Spring Ain't To Far Away Now Soon Be Summer

I've got the Natty's Blue and the Collinite 915 and my advice is go for the Collinite. It gives similar results in terms of looks but lasts like you won't believe! As far as I'm concerned you can't get better. Also, the way water beads on it is incredible:thumbup:

I get my wax from seriousperformance.co.uk, alot cheaper than that guy on Ebay ;)

I would look for advice from some of the guys on autopia.org. They know their stuff.

I would normally polish first just to clean up the paint. I like Autoglym SRP to be honest. Nice and mild. Or Klasse if you can get it. Use every 3 months. Then you could always just hide/fill the swirls. I usually use something like 3M Imperial Hand Glaze. Comes highly recommended and non abrasive. Get it at any autobody shop or motor factor. If more interested in removing the swirls and if it is only in a couple of places you could try Meguiars Scratch X. If more widespread, personally I think removing swirls by hand is very difficuult and I am not proficient with a PC. Once swirls are gone/hidden - it is usually it is a good idea to follow it with a synthetic sealant like Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection, and if you want a deeper shine top up with 2 layers of carranuba. Blitz Wax is very good. Lately started using Meguiars products.
