Email sent as requested.

Josh, I have no problem with a Polo being there. As I've said before on the main thread, if you are a member on here or the mate of a member you are more than welcome, whatever you drive.

As for James' car, I assume thats the Revo SP3 with a 50 shot of NoS? Does he do his own stuff or is he an agent for the Wizard?

Never driven a NoS car, so would love to have a go. Would be good to see how it compares with the Octavias I've driven with that BHP and more, but with no NoS.

Yeah, he's an agent for the Wizard... I believe the WON Nitrous kits are the best you can buy? (that's the kit I have anyway!)

JBS's Nitrous installs are very very well done... I asked that I didn't want to see anything in the engine bay on mine and that's what I got... Pure stealth under the bonnet (not that I'm trying to hide the fact I've got it, just that I wanted it to look neat).

The other Customer's nitrous install that I've seen is Lee's MK4 Golf Cabriolet S3 Conversion (300bhp + Nitrous) and again, under the bonnet, you can't tell it's got nitrous installed. (That's another bloody quick car, but I won't go out for a drive in that because I don't know how good the driver is (no offence to him) and he won't let me have a go! - I'm a very crap passenger!!)

Yes, SPS3 and 50 Shot with a Progressive Controller (as well as all the other stuff going on under the bonnet). I wasn't trying to say it was the fastest Skoda in the world, but it's by far the fastest car I've ever driven. Just a shame I nearly killed it by putting it into 3rd instead of 6th at fairly high speed D'OH!

Hi Rooboy

Yep' date=' I'm a convert alright!

Monkeychild... I didn't need the stereo on mate! Not with the cold air induction with a green cotton filter the size of my polo strapped to the end of it!!! Sounded like Darth Vader on a bad day after he's smoked 25 Cohiba's!

Proper mint car!

No doubt you'll see it for yourselves at GTi International either on the strip or on their stand....

Oh and if you buy PVW, you'll see it in there pretty soon!

What's so wrong about that?

It's a VAG vehicle after all isn't it?

Going down to Bruntingthorpe for a photoshoot etc soon!

Bumping up that post count stathap aren't we

Steve

Steve... AHA the Post Count Game :nol2: ROFLMBO

Josh... Not unbelievable... OH NO... I don't mean it like that

Lets be clear.....

I buy [and read cover to cover to cover to cover every month] Performance VW mag

Why I'm shocked [think I got the point over.. (my sarcasm notwithstanding.... cheers Steve for pointing that out :D )] is that the ONLY glossy that i've seen the Octavia in is EVO (supplied by Skoda and relatively standard)

PVW is completely different..... this is a step change ... ! It's good... it's exciting !

Flyin' the flag........ Love it !

I saw James's Octy @ Stealth on the SCN RR day a month or so back (I think)

What impressed me was the power delivery and smoothness of the controller.. The induction temps dropped from a rather warm mid 30'C level to -8'C in an instant! The end of the run was still hovering around zero to minus something... Awesome cooler NOS..

First NOS car I'be seen run on the dyno... I worked well, unlike a 16v n/a Ibiza earlier on in the day... No controller... Full throttle, low rpm... BANG!, and a headgasket failure the next day :( Opps.

I too think it would get spanked on track, possibly even by my diesel :D

As for your beeza, reckon Paul's would probably give it a very very good run ;)

Josh, both you and James are very welcome to attend, please do so! It will be a great day out, even if you only come along as a spectator.

Be good if so... ;)

Always up for a nice bit of competition....

361bhp and 320lbft these days, lighter and caged...

Its morphed into a daft thing.. DOH!

sounds tasty !

  • 1 month later...

Did the article with the Skoda appear yet? PVW isnt easy to get here and I was wondering if anyone had seen it?

Cheers

Fergal

Phew I thought this thread was post March 28th! The track day should be sweeeet! Octavia NOS vs. Octavia NOS.
