Skoda Octavia VRS NOZ ATB, Most of all... JBS!

Featured Replies

OH-MY-GOD!

Hahahah... Just this minute got back from a test drive in JBS Auto Designs Octavia VRS Demonstrator!

With 288.8bhp this has to be THE fastest car I've ever driven!

Where do I start?

Power that has only been bettered by my ride in a Ferrari! This thing is f-a-s-t!

But not only that, it stops like erm, a brick wall!

The H&R coilovers are unreal and I think they should be on anyones shopping list...

Uhhh, I can't say much more!

It's just amazing!

The sound that thing makes too!! Full custom JBS/Miltek system with 100 Cel Cat and JBS Downpipe, and a huge Air Filter on the end of a very well made cold air intake!

Hahahaha, I just can't help giggling!

Driving it was a fantastic experience, even though I fudged a couple of gearchanges (damn 6-Speed box)... The Quafe ATB Diff made things interesting too... I've never driven a car with one of those before.

I kinda knew what to expect with the Nitrous, but the Digital Progressive controller made a massive difference. The power delivery (on top of the turbo) was very very smooth, and I thought mine was smooth!

All I can say is: I want that car!!!

Oh, and here's a pic of the VRS 6-Speed Knob, Nitrous Bottle and ECU Data Viewer!

Pretty Bling huh?

still got a crap headunit tho' lol :)

The ECU moniitor looks similar to a PSi3 SECS unit I had in my Impreza. It allows you to see a number of parameters the ECU monitors including knock correction, boost pressure and air fuel ratio.

Steve

you a convert then josh?

Hi Rooboy

Yep, I'm a convert alright!

Monkeychild... I didn't need the stereo on mate! Not with the cold air induction with a green cotton filter the size of my polo strapped to the end of it!!! Sounded like Darth Vader on a bad day after he's smoked 25 Cohiba's!

Proper mint car!

No doubt you'll see it for yourselves at GTi International either on the strip or on their stand....

Oh and if you buy PVW, you'll see it in there pretty soon!

That'll be a "no" on both counts for me. I'm gutted :sadwavey:

Never mind... If you're ever in the Chesterfield area you should drop into JBS and ask for James. I'm sure he'll take you out for a demo if you're interested.

Wow, thanks for the invitation, i feel special. If i'm ever in Chesterfield i might just do that. But at this moment a good reason to pass by those parts totally eludes me.

Maybe my sat-nav will fail one day and i'll get lost or something ;)

Revo BS strikes again..... if its that f****** quick lets see it at the national meet... or are you scared it will get its **** ripped by a lowly remapped vRS..

EH???

Who's poked you in the eye???

What's that??

All I was saying was that it was mint and was nice to drive!!!

What? I thought you ran Nitrous for a bit anyway???

Has nothing to do with Revo!

/looks for "waving white flag" smiley!!!

Crikey mate!

Chill!!!

Started the RS this morning and the 'Optimax' vapourised efficiently and combusted freely as 1.8T AQU motor sparked into life. Selected reverse on my 'Standard' transmission and pulled out of my drive into the brisk early morning air. The 'Conti Sports' at each corner gripped the road like a grippy thing from gripville. The growl of the 'Custom Stainless exhaust' and the flutter of the 'Forge 007P Diverter Valve' shattered the still morning air. The Octy quickly gathered pace enhanced by the custom 'Jabba re-map' as I......got stuck in traffic. Boring.

Bit harsh, all he was doing was describe his ride in the car!

Steve

(Unless his brother is the tunner of course ;) )

Hadn't thought of that..

dont have a prob with josh... just dont see why the tuner has to hide behind him. :D

Nope, just a customer and fellow nitrous user.

LMAO at Jimmy's post! I liked that! I just re-read my post and it is a bit "reportage" innit? lol

Dunno why Fflelan is getting so hot and bothered? I never mentioned the method of ECU tuning in this thread!!! (More interested in the Nitrous delivery than the ECU, as it's far more applicable to my car).

I'm sure if you send JBS details of the forthcoming meeting they'll be interested in popping down with a couple of tuned cars from the local Skoda dealerships!

James likes track days.

Any more flames? Or can we put the "Revo is crap" argument to bed now please? Did anyone see PVW last month? Wasn't a Nitroused Revo'd Audi TT the fastest on their shootout?

Thanks for the comments Steve. I appreciate the moral support.

An interesting point.

If he's so proud of his work he should be shouting from the rooftops...

... And Ffelan, I've not got a problem with you, it's just some of your posts LOL.

I suspect James is just too busy to type in here all night.

Not all people like to blow their own trumpet.

wish i had something better to do.....

am sure you can mention the national meet to him..... would be interesting to see his tuning on track ...get all the different chip tuners out there together ....

are you saying James is no longer a Revo dealer?

Not all people like to blow their own trumpet.

He must be the only tuner in this country who doesn't then.

He must be the only tuner in this country who doesn't then.

JBS tends to let their customers do their promotion.

Word of mouth is a pretty powerful marketing tool.

Ffelan, no, I'm not saying that at all, I just didn't think it was important to mention (that and every time I mention that tuning method on here I seem to get shot down in flames!)

I'll let him know about the track day.... Can you provide a link to the details and I'll be sure to pass the info on.

Any room for a little polo there?

;)

Just had a little look on the JBS website. Who's the young lady answering the phone? Any chance of a signed photo?

  • Author

Oh right, that again.

My point exactly. When he tried to blow it, someone shoved a banana in the end of it!!!

Seriously though, they haven't relied on advertising before and they're doing really well... Soon to move into larger premises with rolling road etc etc.

That's what word of mouth and people seeing their customers cars/quality of work does.
