I know Erik, he sold me my wheels. He comes on here sometimes and offers a 10% discount to Briskoda members if you mention the site.

Don't know about the tuning though

I see Erik's page regarding this figure, Assuming a similar set of changes to Jabba, i.e. Turbo being the main component.

The figure is easy *if your a mechanic I guess* to achieve from the 1.8T lump. Jabbasport are certainly my first thought when discussing these figures and from what I have read of various Seat's, it's achievable from 1700+GBP with minimal supporting mods, eg suspension, brakes mounts.

But IMHO you'd be foolhardy to dump this much power 280bhp/270ftlbs into a "stock" car, of couse you have the vRS advantage and will more than likly okay.

Hope that helps

hi karl,

just before i sold my RS, i contacted erik via IM to ask him about the 290bhp conversion. IIRC he told me that their conversion would not be suitable for a car being used as a ' daily driver ', as i had hoped it would.

best give him a buzz, i'm sure he'll enlighten you further.

regards,

If interested here are some links to Jabbasports IHI turbo upgrade.

This conversion will also fit Skoda 20VT's.

The 2 plots are low boost vs high boost , equating to 325bhp high boost and 251bhp low boost.

It has been remapped since then to accomodate a Forge intercooler and ran 337bhp.

Nice conversion and easily a daily driver - No Problem.

Bill

337bhp and daily drive......hmm

A daily drive, for how long. The 18T may or may not cope with the extra power but the drive train certainly will not. I have problems with the mods I have at present ie, traction, clutch spin etc.

Yes Des, but Bill is mad!

Bill, that is the conversion I'm thinking of for mine, as yet I can't get a price for it but its thought to be about 2.5k. Just saving the pennies.

Hmm......Maybe you could sell some of your hoard of coils to fund this addiction.
