Briskoda stand at GTI International this year?

Featured Replies

Well, I've made preliminary enquiries to the organisers of GTI International this year. The info I do know is:

It's on the weekend of June 16th/17th. I suspect camping and some evening drinks will be the order of the show, as well as some bengie 1/4 pounders.

It's being held at Bruntingthorpe, Leicestershire - Good central location for most people in the UK.

I'm up for the entire weekend as it will be the weekend following my next set of accountancy exams. I will be looking to claim the diesel class title too all being well.

So, let's start a list - I'm a definite, whatever happens. More info can be clarified later. :)

2) Des, Delcac - Can I have the 1.4 class or is that a contradiction in terms.

1.4 class or is that a contradiction in terms.

Might be an oxymoron? :D (no offence to 1.4 owners of course :))

GTI International 2007

Well, it's a whole weekend, so I'm sure there can be the option for people to just come on one day or whatever. This is another thing to clarify with the organisers. :)

might well be there but not sure on the BBQ front as i don't have a trailor anymore but we'll see :)

How much is it to get in usually, and is there a discount if you're on a stand?

Is my battered Octy TDi good enough, or will I make it look too much like a car park

Edit: It's huge!

To make this clear:

The Briskoda stand will not be a stand for the best Skodas in the country. That would just be silly. I think this place is more about the social side of things so I would encourage all Skodas to be there. Would even be nice to get some of the old skool along too. More the merrier is my philosophy.

To compare - I'm doing the weekend at Donny North in Easter - and that's £30 for the weekend, with some evening entertainment. I wouldn't expect GTI International to be any more than this - It may even be cheaper?

Sweet. When do tickets go on sale?

I've just realised I've also got the southwestmotorshow 2007 on the sunday.... Sod that! I'm going to GTI Inters!

Is'nt "GTI International" a perfect opportunity for a national meet?. These two threads are crying out to be merged!.

Yup very interested, though may just do the one day

Sure I can arrange around another who can only commit to a single day

Im quite interestd, but there is a possiblity i may not have a skoda then (ive never owned a car for more than a year, and i bought this 1 last easter, and im starting to get itchy feet now) what is the position should i gor for example an audi, etc?

Funny how events like this always fall on my weekend working (I only do every third)! Still I'm sure I can swap. I could get two cars there, the Skoda and Corrado. Insured volunteer driver needed though unless I could persuade the better half to attend too!

Go on Lee, you know you want to. :D The Corrado would need banishing / putting at the back of the stand though. ;) :P

Can I turn up and park a Seat amongst the Czech mobiles?! :D

A bit too far ahead for me to commit anyway, but I'd like to be there

I think anyone off Briskoda is welcome. Lee(boy) knows I was only kidding anyway. :D

I've still not heard from the organisers yet which is a bit odd given the show is only 4 months away (ish)

Well just let me know J - if SCN or SeatForum are going, I can always park there then pop over ;)

Car should be looking pretty sorted by then, if all goes to plan.
