Boot light . . . ?

Featured Replies

Got the damn same problem with my deep freeze :bonk:

light's on all the time and can't find the switch that turns the bugger off

guess it must be built into the hinge somehow

glad you got your boot light sorted :)

See my earlier post . . .

I removed the small panel on the tailgate and took out the lock assembly. I'd tried what Skoda.fr said with the screwdriver and could here a clicking when I pressed really hard and this turned off the light. So with the lock assembly out, and yes there was a switch in there, I removed the switch and tweaked the springy leaver slightly. Put it all back and hey presto a working boot light.

Sorted!!!

haha, unfortunately a pizza kept digging in my back and i couldn't close the lid

seems my switch is built into the lamp holder, it's a seesaw type set of points and when the lid is closed a roller runs down, breaks the points and turns off the light.

just in case you ever need to know ;)

I had the opposite problem and couldn't turn my boot light on, didn't even think to try with the sidelights on, doh,!! gonna go try it now

cheers

OK so i tried my boot light with turning the sidelights on and it worked but it also presented another problem. I have the boot light with the rocker switch but it does not turn the boot light off. It only goes off when i turn the sidelighs off. Not a major problem but wouldl like to figure it out.

Anyone have any ideas??
