Hi just registered and say hello b4 bed!

New vrs (fabia) 25th jan.

Done 1200 miles so far.

Matlock bath, Liverpool, Prestatyn, Peak district, Nottingham and the M1

Best points are Engine and the feel of the steering wheel. oh, and gearbox; v. precise.

Worst are brakes (crap compared to the clio i just had for 3 years), seats made for fat people (i am skinny) and more body roll than i thought would be.

I still love it though and might even go to this meet at the cat n fiddle if my girlfriend is up for it (she has been dredding the day it arrived but seems quite fond now!!)

Cant believe i am registered on this site, I am now officially a Geek and so are you lot!!

Cheers

Hello and welcome to Briskoda.

Sounds like your conversion is partially complete - I'm sure attending the C&F will finish it off!

 AGAIN??

soz but I not quite used to the system yet.

So about these brakes, do we just have to live with it or is there a cure?

(apart from braided hoses, brembos etc)

Also, engine is not idling so well, varies between 800 - 900 rpm. She's only a young'un tho, might settle down?

Just a few niggles really, I'd be out in it now if I had'nt told the lease company I'd only be doing 13k (AS IF!)

:P

Glad you got the humour, thought I might have overstepped the mark.

Good luck with the mods.

Welcome VeeKar,

The brakes are easy enough to upgrade

Thanks for the advice, I'll check out the tech forum later.

Just seen clarkson and needell moaning about the roll characteristic too so thats good to know its "normal".

cheers
