Boxer diesel

Featured Replies

Looks like Subaru are finally aiming to break into the diesel market! Will be interesting to see how their engines fair against the well established ones...

SUBARU

cool!

doubt it will have the rumble of the petrol though :D

Next mongrel project for jason, perhaps?

Sounds like a nice engine, especially the fact that it is a boxer.

I think if i have enough money, when i am looking at the next car in a few years time, this would get a look in.

Definately be looking out for that when I get me next cab!

I did hear about this on the grapevine a while ago.

Glad they are going ahead with it.

It'll be nice to see some facts and figures for it.

i was always under the impression the rumble of the petrol boxer is created by the fact the manifold lengths from one side of the engine are longer than the other thus creating that offbeat burble??

Cant imagine them doing that with a diesel.. it would sound terrible!

Nice to see something different, if its as good as they make it sound then it'll be a big seller!

Saw this on scoobynet. Would like to see it in the impreza first rather though.
