I've just got my fabia VRS and somebody has suggested that I get the chrome grill surround painted the same colour as the car (black magic) can anyone post some pictures so I can decide if I get this done or not. I'd like to see what it looks like. has anyone got any advice? Much appriciated!:confused:

Is it easy to do your self or did you get it done at the garage - it looks a very professional finish.

Funnily enough, I did a couple of photoshops the other day at work - I'll post them in the morning.

This is my next mod.......... I'm picking my replacement surround up from the dealers tomorrow..... then taking it to a bodyshop to be sprayed...... Should have it on the car in a week or so..... Work permitting. :D :D

Yes, they are Audi TT Competition 7.5 x 17" alloys.

Had them refurbed & painted in Platinum Grey paint (a SEAT body colour).

The mod is to colour code the chrome surround to the rest of the car...... Black on the black car, Red on a red car, yellow on a yellow car etc....

Yes, that would be the idea, hence why I've got a silver colour coded grille all painted and waiting to go on mine.

I wanted to see what it would have looked like in black, hence my 'shop. No harm done.

Picked my replacement surround up from the dealers yesterday and dropped it off at a bodyshop i know.... I should be picking it up next Tuesday when i'm off work...... then it'll go on the car either Tuesday or Wednesday depending on the weather.
