yip. Nobody else bid ??

What is the story with the CDs. Are they generally up to date or could someone point me in the right direction?

They do seem to be coming down in price, great value for money IMHO.

Yeah they are Stu. I have VAG-COM so will do the coding as well.

Any advice on the CD. I am in Ireland so I am hoping that its up to date with all these new roads we have.

Speaking of which. I presume that I cannot use the CD player when I want to use the navigation function?

Or what about using an ipod at the same time though a VAG adapter?

Ipod will be fine.

You boys don't get the CD changer as standard do you?

The navi disk sits in the single CD slot and is in use when navigating.

If yo didn't find it already the manual is at the bottom of the page Octavia-vRS.com - MFD2 Install Guide

I never RTFM ! Thanks. Will download and print tomorrow at work.

No CD changer at all but we do get enough extras as standard I suppose.

So when it is navigating I can use an ipod at the same time?

Yep, I navigate and listen to my MP3 player all at the same time, same goes for the radio and CD changer (if fitted).

The voice cuts over the music/radio as and when required, and you can turn her off completely if desired :D

Good price by the way you jammy barsteward, mine was getting on double that all told.

Thanks. I couldn't believe it when I got it for that!

Nice win :)

Dodgy bought one as well from the same guy.

I have the latest disks so if you want me to look up a road let me know it's name and will check it for you.

Thanks jjc.

Is there a M8 motorway on It? Southern Ireland.

Mine has just arrived at home :) Only took a few working days, was expecting it next week!

Where did it come from Dodgy? How was it packaged etc? What version disc did you get?

It's at home at the moment, my wife SMSd me to let me know it's arrived, I'll update when I get home :)

Dave.

Where did it come from Dodgy? How was it packaged etc? What version disc did you get?

It came from Lithuania, was immaculately packaged. In fact, this deserves special mention, it was packaged far better that most online retailers (non eBay) would send fragile stuff such as hi-fi gear etc. I reckon I could safely kick it around the road and it would be safe

Only down side, the disk is 'TAN Great Britain 2003/2004 DX' which is hopelessly out of date

Looks like I'll have to invest in a new disk!

Dave.

Bearing in mind Fluffmeisters thread I get the feeling they are coming down in price may be related to that fact.

I could be wrong, but then I might not be too.

Mine was a 2004 disc as well, seems to be a standard thing with Lithuanian MFD2's

But for that price you can justify the expense of a 2007 TMC disc.

Jammy sod...........not that I'm bitter or 'owt :P

Thanks for the info. Glad to hear that it arrived safe and well. Looking forward to mine now.

Are these disks able to be copied?

Are these disks able to be copied?

I know the BMW ones are...

So I'm sure a friendly Briskodian with a new car would be able to oblige

Just had a look for M8 but it is a bit difficult to see do you have a town that is on it .
