Knocking when on full lock on bumpy ground

Featured Replies

Just noticed that when i am on full left lock and going over bumpy ground i have a knocking sound that seems to come from the front right of the car.

I noticed this when pulling up the ramp onto my driveway. There doesn't seem to be anything amiss with the cars sterring and handling and i am wondering if this could be ARB bushes or links.

I have also recently had a wheel bearing replaced on the drivers side front. Could something have been disturbed or not put back correctly?

I am confident that the garage i went to will have done a good job though as they are an independent VAG specialist.

Any ideas????

Thanks

Anyone??

Bit difficult to say the other end of a wireless connection.

I'd pop it back into the specialist and ask them for thier opinion on whats causing the knocking.

I had a similar thing, thought it was a CV joint or ball joint. Took the hub assembly off the wishbone, ran out of time, put it back together, been fine ever since.

I had a similar problem, although it was only when going over bumpy ground and those ridiculous speed humps. Turned out to be the ARB bush. Got this done under approved used warranty.
