New Model Fabia RS

Featured Replies

Are there any pictures available for the new model RS. What are the thoughts on it being a 1.4 TSi petrol engine from the Golf GT?

No official pictures as yet, no official conformation on what engines will be powering it.

There definitely won't be a diesel thought. The 170 is too big and the other ones don't have DPF (the particle filter). Looking forward to seeing the new RS. The only bad thing about the new one is that it is too tall

Where are you getting your info from?

Maybe he's the spy!!!!!

I think it would be a mistake on Skodas part not to have a diesel vRS Fabia mk11, after making such a good reputation on the mk1.

I really don't want a petrol one at all, I am a diesel convert now, so if they don't, I think they will loose a lot of their existing customer base.

Ha ha! Don't really want to say where I'm getting my info. But it is true. No Diesel. I thought they might put a 140 DSG or even a 170 but no.

The 170 is too big

Why?

Maybe he's the spy!!!!!

get his IP address find him, and kill him! lol....

joking aside colm, they must have designed the new car to have an engine bay that will take a current VAG deisel, so a performance deisel must be on the cards......

Could he be the fabled Skoda Spy?

don't listen to him, he sounds like a gimp imho. of course there will be a diesel mk2vRS like there is in the octavia and other companies are doing too.

Maybe he's the spy!!!!!

So has anyone test driven the new Fabia yet? On a jolly to the Czech Republic maybe? And are they going to get some pics and a report up? Or would the spies not like that?

Having just been to the World Fabia Launch in the Czech Republic, I was told that Skoda haven't even decided if there will be a vRS in the new model, yet alone which engine or engines it will have. But I did hear some excitingthings about other products..........................

Edit. Andy Don't think photos would go down too well. Sorry!

But I have driven the new Fabia.

I may be changing brands soon........Suzuki Swift Sport..... Don't like the look of the new Fabia. It looks like a squashed Roomster. If the Fabia had come out first things may have been differant

Thanks lads for the feedback on the new model. I'm not a spy! Or a gimp. It'll be out late this year and if anyone gets a glimpse of one, I'd like to see a picture. It's fair to say that the diesel will be missed.

I agree, with the 140bhp 2.0 TDI for sure

I'll be changing brands too............................

back to a Scoob!! Muhahahahahah

Or an M3 :)

surely the 2.0 tdi engine is not any bigger than 1.9 tdi? I think someone is telling porkies...and why..cos he's a ..........

The 2.0 is 16v, and the 1.9 8v, correct?

So I guess it could be bigger, but I'm sure it would still fit.

a 16v engine doesn't have to be big, my mazda has a DOHC 16v 1.6i turbo with variable inlet manifold etc and the lump is a teeny little thing really, way smaller than the 1.8 in my skoda.
