Alright Chaps

Need some advice on a decent suspension setup and the Bilsteins Sprintline kit takes my fancy.

It would be much appreciated if anyone can give me an opinion on the kit if they have experienced it. Ride comfort, ground clearance, handling etc.

I'm open to suggestions if there is better kits out there!

I think it all boils down to what you want out of a suspension set-up and how much you're prepared to pay for it. If you do alot of track days to justify full adjustability etc then the KW3's or PSS9's would be the ones to go for I suppose. However, you will pay for it.... allow at least a grand incl fitting if not more. :eek:

Personally, I couldn't justify spending that amount just on suspension so the Bilstein Sprintline kit is probably a good compromise. A quick look didn't bring up a listing for the vRS but would guess it would cost at least half as much fitted compared to the KW3's. I'd also be interested to get any feedback from anyone who's fitted the Billies cos 'if' I change mine in the not too distant future then this would probably be the route I'd go.

Jimmy, i can't find a PSS9 kit for the Octy RS, however, the general price seems to be the same, if not more than KW3's..

I have just ordered upon recommendation by my local VAG performance centre (Star Performance) a set of Bilstein Sports shockers (actually, I got them from one of our members). He recommended these as they are the same as fitted to his S3, keeping standard springs on. That fits my bill as my Octy is going nowhere near a track just fast road use. In addition, I was also recommended NOT to lower the car any lower than the standard Octy vRS ride height.

I should be getting them this week sometime and they should be fitted not long after.I'll post my thoughts if you're interested after they are fitted and I have been for a drive.
