i have a wire in my glove box with a connection for some thing any one know waht it is?

Not without a picture or a bit more info.

it looks like a phone charger but has a detachable connection at the top which looks like a "jack" that yoy would plug in to a phones socket on a tv or radio, was wondering if its an after market connection in the back of the aftermarket radio , im hoping its and auxillary!!

Has a previous owner fitted it as an Ipod connection - ie the jack plugs into your Ipod so you can play it through the car's speaker system?
