Wow that Ducati is Quick

Absolutely anialated the Yamaha on the straight.

Rossi was so good on the brakes into turn 1, but couldn't gap Stoner on the laps.

It's gonna be a very interesting season! ;)

Indeed. Will make a fun season :D:thumbup:

Brilliant duel, power versus handling. But I think that only one of those bikes is driven by a God. Come on Val!!!

It wasn't a classic MotoGP race though it is good to have it back.

The 800cc bikes are interesting - they certainly sound different and have ended up being even quicker round the track than last year.

I'd imagine there will be a fair amount of testing going on in Yamaha and Honda's wind tunnels this week. The Ducati just charged past them all on the straights

Valentino who?

He's a rear gunner as well

Just wait till they have a demanding fuel circuit. Then you

I'm not sure why fuel should be such a problem.

They have lost 5% of the fuel but the engines are 20% down in capacity so making them a bit more efficient shouldn't be hard.

Lance, I know you don't like Rossi but you must admit he was the only one to keep with the Ducati.

P.S. Who do you support?

Me thinks that Lady E paid too much attention to the commentry.

From what I heard, the new engines run flat out an awful lot more than the old ones as the bikes are so much more nimble. The figure given was last years bikes were only full throttle for around 20% of the time owing to engine management etc. also the Ducatti produces so much more power than the other it will be interesting to see how fuel thirsty it is.

Watching the onboard graphics of the throttle and brakes, the Ducatti seemed to spend a lot of time full throttle and hammering its brakes. Rossi seemed to open his throttle much sooner and brake much more gently, I guess it

Heathen. he

Jon, your right I'm not a Rossi fan, however I can't even try to deny how good he is on a bike. He is such a class act.

Although I can't see it happening, I'd really like to see Edwards win the 2007 title. or at least a couple of races.

To be totally honest I don't really support any rider in particular, it's just that I find Rossi too smug and it was good to see the others catching him up during 2006 and him not being so dominant.

The season should be far more exciting, if Stoner, Pedrosa, Capirossi etc can give VR a battle. Can't really see Hayden doing well this year though.

Cheers

Lance

I thought you hated Yanks?!!

No. What makes you say that?

I think you had a go at Hayden last year. I could be mistaken though.

I'm sure it wasn't me, I was cheering Hayden on.

Sorry, my mistaken. That was somebody else.

No worries.

I reckon 2007 is going to be a great year for both the MotoGP & WSBK series.

Lance

It'll be interesting for sure.

Rossi wants to regain his title , Hayden wants to retain it , and there are clearly a few more riders that are up at the top and will win races.

Add the uncertaintly of the smaller capacity bikes and it could be a cracking year.

Ducati lane well and truly open for business so far.

Be interesting to see how the Dukes compate with Vale on a track that isn't all second gear point n squirt and one long straight tho'.

The voice of reason  Still it will make it a great season again, as we watch the greatest current rider, on an inferior machine, show the boys in red the way home. The Ducattis do make a fab noise though

Ah is strugglin' wit' this one missy; Ah support Ducati and Vale (and Capirex, so maybe the solution is to hope that he's had his mistake for the year?)
