Heads up - possibly for sale in the near future.

Featured Replies

This isnt in the for sale section yet because none of it is for sale ;) However, I thought I'd give some notice that the following may be for sale - if you're thinking of buying any of this lot then remember you could get it cheaper from me if you hang about for a bit ;)

Octavia MKI Estate (only) OEM dog guard

Original Indicator Stalk

Halfords roof box - massive one, the largest available for the Octavia

VAG-COM cable (non genuine, but it works - why take the chance on an ebay one?)

VRS hatch springs - lower your 1.8T Elegance to VRS ride height.

Bailey DV - as fitted by Jabba.

And an Octavia MKI estate Elegance 1.8T

I might know someone looking for an Octy Estate at the right price - any guides Phil?

Soemwhere around the £2700 figure I would think. But I'm open to offers (althought the "for sale rules" state that I'm not allowed to say that )

Its done 104k miles and is on variable servicing - the first since I've owned the car was done by a dealer and the second by myself. Its got all the usual Elegance extras plus cruise control and 200+ of jabba's horses.

I;m not expecting it to be for sale for a month or so yet though.

You're allowed to invite offers. What you're not allowed to do is place an ad based solely on offers. You have to state a target price.

We introduced this because we were getting too much argument about prices. It's to protect sellers, really.

There's nothing to stop you posting a (slightly) optimistic price. Offers should then follow. What we aim to avoid are the endless "you can get one of these much cheaper here" arguments.

Good luck with the sale. It's a well known car on the forum, it should sell.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply, Q.

At least it bumps it to the top of "new posts" ;)

Phil

PM me some more details and I'll pass it on.

I predict there will be one on Ebay for 37p less than your asking price.

I bet he hasn't included VAT in the listing price though...

Octavia MKI Estate (only) OEM dog guard

As an OEM one, does it clip into the back of the seats, or have feet that stand on the boot floor?

If the former then I could be intersted...

You fit it with the rear seats dropped forward. It clips to the metal loops that retain the seat back which, then in turn holds the dog guard.

I would be interested, as then I can then put my false boot floor back in (and just take it out when the dogs go in....)

Right, I've seen enough fun and games for now. I'm going to close this thread as we don't want to have some sort of car boot sale here. Either post in the correct area, or wait until you are indeed selling the items.
