Hello Briskodaguys

Featured Replies

Please overlook lack of smilies, glyphs etc (and I'm not a flasher or waver on the road either).

I come to Furbyworld as an expectant empty-nester. I've had enough of big cars and people movers (traded an Omega 3.0 elite for the Fabia estate). If I had bought a year later I might have bought an RS but I like the estate body better, although if Skoda brought out ans RS estate like the "Paris" model I would be more than tempted.

I'm thinking of going the way of Jabba chips for the extra mid-range grunt and am disappointed that the RS anti-roll bars don't fit as that is the only other mod I want to make - anyone used Van Aaken?.

As a biker for the last 33 years, I can't get too excited about car 0-60 and top speed figures, an R1150RS is more than a match for most 4-wheelers on public roads and still returns 50mpg.

I was attracted to join up by the technical threads, I want to fit a CD changer - but not sure where to locate it, so will be browsing the ICE section before displaying my electronic ignorance.

So hello from 49 yr old father of 4, potential Victor Meldrew, biker, 1.9TDi man from Hampshire.

Welcome..... have you met DGW yet? he sounds a lot like you?:D

Hello there, if you specify the disc changer as an option then the dealer mounts this under the passenger seat where the storage bin normally resides.

You woudn't want to change CD's on the move though!

Hello and welcome to the forum.

welcome!

Hi and Welome to Briskoda.

Where abouts in Hampshire are you?

Can't be.....Denis is a lot older. :sofahide:

Welcome to briskoda. I've not used van aaken I got a td performance box, but a mate of mine did with his pug 206 and he likes it. Van aaken are actually toyota approved tuning box suppliers for their d4d engines so I guess they are ok.

The SEAT Ibiza strut brace fits straight on to the fabia if that helps instead of the roll bars.

Welcome Clunkshift !

If SkodiRS is claiming Darkest Hampshire, I'm claiming the Alps (Nr Alton)

Welcome, Clunkshift. :D Ignore the ageism displayed in previous posts - some of our members are still waiting for their voices to break and certain things to drop. :grumpy:

Welcome

Now I see where the nick comes from ;) My old man has a R1150RT and the bimmer box certainly clunks alright

As an avid biker myself, I fully appreciate not getting excited about car 0-60 times (here's me thinking about jabba or oneclick myself  )

I think Adrian (SkodiRS) has offered a meet next wednesday 10th at the leather bottle pub.

If you can make it, it would be nice to meet you :)
