Car Seat Covers for VRS

Featured Replies

Hello

I'm very keen to keep my nice vrs seats free from stains etc and I've struggled like hell to get a set of seat covers that fit properly. I've had two sets of leather look covers from halfords and neither fit, first I got the small/medium which stated fitted the fabia, took them back because I couldnt even pull them over the seat. Anyway got the large and now it just looks like I've melted a welly over my seat:eek: - absolute pony.

Can anyone recommend a decent pair of seat covers or suggest where is a good place to get some?

Any advice much appriciated and I'm sure this must be a mega common problem

Cheers

I bought the cheapest ones i could find from Argos, whacked them on to find they were very tight - so cut the backs open. Doesn't look very professional, but works a treat and problem solved for

Although I fully understand the desire to keep things nice, I also feel the need to actually enjoy the use and ownership of it myself. Protecting things by hiding them beneath layers of cheap fabric means you'll never have the full benefit of a quite nice interior and just end up sat on Argos tatt. When you sell it on, the new owner will get the benefit. My ma-in-law has an antique oak dining table, but it may as well be chipboard as no-one ever sees it, beneath layers of tablecloths and mats even when not in use.

Take care in daily use and clean well when needed.

here here.... I can't wait for mine to get mucky! leather it out when that happens!

Now leather I understand. The pics I've seen of Seat Surgeon's work look very enticing.

For now I use these intermitently for now. They give adequate protection and still tie in with the colour scheme.

Leather is on the cards though.

im currently using a pair of elasticated ones that my father in law gave me from his Nissan Navaro pickup truck.... they work an absolute treat

I agree with you there, besides many covers end up holding some dust between them and the seat, which ends up dirty anyway. I wanted to cover them, 'cause they'll get dirty and attract some monkeys around my neighbourhood: "Oh look! ain't those Captain Kirk's furniture in that skoda??!!" (there aren't many vRS's in my zone you see...)

I'd like to save my car from that, but it's only worth if the covers look good. I'd hate to drive around in a car full of green potatoe bags instead of those nice seats. And in the case of the vRS, it seems to be hard to find good ones.

Oh well, there goes my low-profile conspiracy plan... :o

I have had a set of town and country heavy duty ones on my octi for about 18month and they have been great! allows me to jump in with mucky cloths on and not worry. also when people look in they just go ah seat covers to protect the seats not some *£!@% covers to look different. they have been so good that my dad got a set fro his new octi late last year

just end up sat on Argos tatt

Oh, thanks very much...

I basically work out of my car every day, am a messy eater and my clothes get covered in rubbish...if i didn't use that "tatt" (some nylon ffs) i'd have to clean my seats at the end of every day as they would be covered in grease and pasta salad!

I only use one cover on my driver side seat and take it off at weekends when i want to use the car for fun, but i don't see the point in ruining my seats for work related use.

You might be better with one of these...

Haha, i see your point. Although that still wouldn't be up to the job of protecting my precious seats from my messy eating...

I bought a town and county one, not sure of the name but its the stretch one as opposed to the non stretch one which doesn't fit that well.

I only use it after playing Squash/football to save my seats from getting sweat stained! I personally think it was too much for what I use it for but its the first one I've tried that fits, I did think of getting cheapo ones and cutting the back as mentioned above. I think Tesco's do a pair for £5....

Use the seats as there intended, most marks can be cleaned!!!

Can anyone provide Pics, then maybe get a group buy together, to see if they can be got for below
