Where in the south east if you would like to use us!

If you are claiming to be a VAG specialist then I for sure wouldn't come to you if you think the N75 is the dump vlave mate.

The N75 is the wastegate regulator. An electrical solenoid valve and not a vacuum operated recirculating valve which is what the Diverter valve (dump valve) is.

And the big question is, did they know what you meant when you said N75 valve?

I'll see you your label and raise you my ETKA :P

The label description is edited by the supplying dealer ;)

Oooh I feel a fight brewing, ringside seat anyone?

That is a picking ticket, it is generated by VW parts (Dordon) when they receive the dealers order to enable it to be picked. You can sometimes find them on things that bear no resemblence to the box contents, I once found one on a Felicia fuse box that said it was an Octavia boot net.

Those descriptions are often generic, inaccurate and misleading. You should always check the manufacturers labels on the box.

It must be common for the box to be labelled as such take this quote from Dennis for example:

Electro change-over valve (N75 wastegate regulator valve) - AGU, AUM, ARX, AUQ engines

058 906 283 F -

The part manufacturer creates the box labels, the dealer orders parts by part number only, the label shown in the picture is a picking slip, which is created by the parts warehouse when the dealers order is processed. Dump Valve must have been the description that was allocated to that part number within the parts warehouse computer system, which is an inaccurate description for that part numbers function.
