Prices as follows in South Wales:

2nd Year service and brake fluid change:

White Dove Skoda -

What are they doing on the 2nd annual? In thoery it should be the same as the first with an optional brake fluid.

Whats your mileage?

My 2 yer service was £140ish at Star Performance including brake fluid, filters etc. Go to a independant specialist.

I would say slightly expensive, dealers in bucks area quoted between £210 and £265

It's the second annual service and 15,000 miles has just come up - slightly concerned about how expensive this is becomming!

Then it should be exactly the same as the first one, with possibly the exception of a pollen filter.

Go to an independent garage. END OF!!

Have you tried Griffin Mill in Pontypridd?

Would like to know how they compare as I have ordered my car with them :)

Its a little treck however winners in Cinderford have just done my 40,000 (2 years old VRS) service which im told is the costly one for £228 & that included a valet (costing £25), Ive always used them & they always do a good job & they give you a car while its being done

I had similar feelings about the similar costs getting mine done on the Wirral. They never did, or suggested the fluid change. Passed 60K last year and I'm intending keeping until resale value is very low, so have now done 2 services myself including the the brakes and a local diesel specialist did the cam belt. In truth it is a shame some dealers are so expensive, because if I was replacing the car it would not be with a Skoda, much as I like the car. My friends Toyota, which was equal choice when I bought, has cost a fraction of the amount I paid through the three years to service.

I was dubious about shopping around, but since reading similar threads here, If in the same position again I wouldn't hesitate to go to the ones recommended by posters above. Best of luck with your search.

Had my 2nd year service done on tuesday at Parkside skoda Bolton with pollen filter but without brake fluid change only done 8000 miles

All my work in Capitol Skoda in Newport is nice and cheap as I'm a friend of the family... :) I'd still like it cheaper tho... lol My sachs clutch is being fitted next week for buttons, at last something in this life goes my way!

seems like everyone knows a Cleverly ;)

I've got some directdebit payment thing set-up, £16/month, and it saves money long term, and it's less to worry about getting all the cash at once!

Hmmm.

My 20k at Capitol was £205. That was an annual inspection, oil filter, oil, and Pollen filter.

My 30k was £105

My 40k was £240

seems like everyone knows a Cleverly ;)

Too right, I had to put up with the big Clev all the way thru school so I deserve it. :) We are all best mates now tho so I'll let him off :)

Capitol Skoda do great things :)

Not a Croesy boy are you ?

Nah, I grew up in Caerleon and then moved to Maindee after I went travelling down under (had to sell my old house to make some money!). I chose Maindee because it's so posh lol.
