Not necessarily, the VW Type 1 used compressed air from the spare tyre to work the windscreen washers.

Just wait until you've ran it for a good few thousand miles. Mine is just about to have its second service @ 20,000 and its getting rather rapid

IMO the black 110 is the nicest looking, although the strangely rare Race Blue sets off the Furbie to best advantage.
