Maidstone Meet June 07

Featured Replies

Date - Friday 1st June 2007

Time - 7:30pm - 8 pm

Location - White Rabbit Maidstone.

Link with map :- Maidstone Hotel - White Rabbit Vintage Inn - Innkeeper's Lodge

All newcomers and regulars welcome.

NOTE :-

Those of you who like myself find the proposed joint meet TBA by Makefish to be to far to travel are welcome to join at the regular haunt.

If it is a nice warm evening, we can hopefully sit outside, till it gets dark & chilled.

It appears that the menu has now become a bit " boring ", so it would be an opportunity to discuss another venue in the Maidstone area for July onwards.

I look forward to to seeing the local regulars and hopefully some newbies. - Look out for the Briskoda fleeces. :):D

Me and Em are a probably. We may have tickets to go and see QI being filmed on that date (won't know until nearer the time)

Count us in. More than likley all 3 of us, so brace your self for Ben again!!!:woohoo:

Put me down for this one

I may actually be able to make this one.

Was going to pm you Des to see when you can bring the trusty 1.4 with you :D

Apologies for the last meet had to attend a family funeral in Scotland, will try and make this one if I haven't got too many SP30's and my son doesn't crash at Buckmore on the 29th. Looking forward to meeting up.:orb_cool:

*Don't call me....

Ok im sat here thinking shall i bother saying anything, but then on the other hand someone was keen enough to organise this event. So Firstly i dont want to upset or offend anyone BUT, as a new member i was keen to meet with like minded people and to veiw their pride and joys, also talk of allthings skoda and the like. so having departed Dover leaving the fog behind us with our directions we were maidstone bound. On arrival we were greeted by a packed carpark with a scattering of skodas and no owners. Im also a member of various MK1 MR2 forums, when they meet they try to get a venue with a large car park so people can park together to look, talk and admire then move inside when sun goes in.Different cars i know but the meeets and forums are the same. In future ill check what sort of event it is .

cheers colin

It's unfortunate that your first experience of a Briskoda Meet has not met with your expectations and I hope that will not put you off in future, however, it is sometimes difficult to find a venue where all the cars can be parked together and depending on what time you arrived would mean whether there would be a contingent to welcome you.

Thread merged with he original so that the meet organiser will see your grievances and can pass comment too.

Sorry about your trip Colingo, The parking at the White Rabbit has always been abit tight. We were all sitting outside at the front of the pub so were easily seen from the pub entrance . It would be good to see you at the next meet,

Thanks people for your comments, i dont have a greavance my comments are simply constructive comments. If your group of members at these meets like the way things are then i respect this and politely say no thanks its not for me. However if it is your groups wish to swell your number then i think you need to look at an alternative venue. It seems that some already know theres issues with this venue.

Cheers colin
