Focus ST v X5 v vRS

Featured Replies

Today A VRS was minced down the inside on the M3 near fleet services by a BMW x5 closely followed by a new Focus ST that nearly took the VRS's nose off!, The VRS was having none of that so thus started the race that went from fleet services on the M3 all the way to Bournemouth town center, The road cleared up soon after them under taking the VRS and nearly wiping it off the road so the right peddle was firmly floored, At this stage the VRS is behind the ST whome cut inside the BMW and pulled ahead of him, the VRS was on the inside of them both and slowely pulling alongside the ST when all had to break hard due to traffic, the order stood at ST, VRS and the X5, when the road opend the X5 got a run on them both and undertook them both and pulled out a few car lenths, the VRS was all over the ST and he moved over and the VRS caught the X5 and they slowed again, onto the double lane part of the M3 now with the order at X5, VRS and the ST, by this time the VRS is down shifting at 80 into 3rd the road opend up and the VRS got great pull from the big X5 he wouldent move over so the VRS dived down the inside of him and the ST follwed VRS, with speeds getting VERY high i mean near the top of the clock high they slow again for traffic, and the order stands VRS, ST and the X5, the road opens and the VRS down shift and floor it, the VRS pulls away sharpish from the 2.5t ST opening up several car lengths and the X5 is all over the ST whome pulls over and lets him past, the VRS is still pulling away from them both and bye time they hit winchester the VRS can only see their head lights, this stays the same all the way to the new forest where the VRS is holed up behind a transit and the X5 comes past the VRS fast and the ST gets the jump on the VRS from the VRS driver's own error in judgement blast, the order is X5, ST and the VRS they sling it left past the bournemouth airport and onto the duel carrigway, the road is dead and its a straight drag into bournemouth, the ST jumps the X5 closely follewed by the VRS At over twice the limit the VRS is all over the ST and he wont budge the X5 was well dropped by this stage, the VRS swaps to the inside and undertakes the ST with ease and breases into bournemouth the winner by a decent margin, they all pulled over near the peer and the ST and X5 drivers are fuming that they got beat by a Skoda and ask if the VRS is runing nitro! lol..

Two very shocked fast car drivers who now whant a VRS and a VRS that coverd 90 miles at 13.1 MPG!

You want to be very careful posting things like this :rubchin:

At the speeds your talking about there will be very little between any cars that have got some balls, but i think if there was a decent driver in the ST you wouldnt have passed it :)

Kept with it maybe but not passed.

Today I was minced down the inside on the M3 near fleet services by a BMW x5 closely followed by a new Focus ST that nearly took my nose off!, I was having none of that so thus started the race that went from fleet services on the M3 all the way to Bournemouth town center, The road cleared up soon after them under taking me and nearly wiping me off the road so the right peddle was firmly floored, At this stage im behind the ST whome cut inside the BMW and pulled ahead of him, I was on the inside of them both and slowely pulling alongside the ST when we all had to break hard due to traffic, the order stood at ST, VRS and the X5, when the road opend the X5 got a run on us both and undertook us both and pulled out a few car lenths, I was all over the ST and he moved over and I caught the X5 and we slowed again, onto the double lane part of the M3 now with the order at X5, VRS and the ST, by this time im down shifting at 80 into 3rd the road opend up and I got great pull from the big X5 he wouldent move over so I dived down the inside of him and the ST follwed me, with speeds getting VERY high i mean near the top of the clock high we slow again for traffic, and the order stands VRS, ST and the X5, the road opens and I down shift and floor it, I pull away sharpish from the 2.5t ST opening up several car lengths and the X5 is all over the ST whome pulls over and lets him past, im still pulling away from them both and bye time we hit winchester i can only see their head lights, this stays the same all the way to the new forest where im holed up behind a transit and the X5 comes past me fast and the ST gets the jump on me from my own error in judgement blast, the order is X5, ST and the VRS we sling it left past the bournemouth airport and onto the duel carrigway, the road is dead and its a straight drag into bournemouth, the ST jumps the X5 closely follewed by the VRS At over twice the limit im all over the ST and he wont budge the X5 was well dropped by this stage, the VRS swaps to the inside and undertakes the ST with ease and breases into bournemouth the winner by a decent margin, we all pulled over near the peer and the ST and X5 drivers are fuming that they got beat by a Skoda and ask if im runing nitro! lol..

Your gonna be popular posting that mate

think!

i had had a run with a ST like that to only thing wz it was on the motorway at night......it was empty, but the ST was a let down the guy look very ****ed off that his 05 orange ST got Kicked down the motorway by a Red Vrs,for a car with Such a big motor it doesnt really put out as much BHP as it could....plus they Drink fuel, for what iv herd and seen of the there a bit of a let down.

Fantastic story, however I suspect you have dreamt this up and of course in real life you would never see red mist and undertake at twice the nsl. A couple of important learning points for the future though regarding the use of your car and computer.

think.......

You gota show em that we Skoda drivers mean business

Mind you those Focus ST 's are damn quick driven properly, 0.60 in 6.5 secs and a top speed of 150mph mean really he should have been out in front.

.. and you are expecting us to say what..??

Whoo hoo, hero - for marginally beating a 225bhp Focus?

or

nob - for driving like a tvv@t.. ?

Please do not turn this thread into a slanging match or string of personal insults.

I'm sure it will take the obvious and usual direction but play nicely please.

Theirs a time and a place for everything mate.....

It's not just about having a fast car, it's about respecting the road and your surroundings. You may consider yourself a good driver, but is the next person?

At those speeds and in those circumstances your asking for trouble, very BIG trouble, and with only yourself to blame if it all went t!ts up!!

I think you got this one wrong, be wiser next time and stick two fingers up at them!

I think you should cut the guy some slack, maybe it wasnt the safest thing to do, but it has already happened. I do NOT condone this kinda of driving, but is there any point getting all uptight, writing insulting comments and acting like his parents! NO!

Im sure he did what he did as responsibly as possible, everyone breaks the speed limit and law occasionally. So what? We live in enough of a nanny society as it is.

(Just my two-pennies worth, I am entitled to my opinion)

Either you are lying or you are crazy... neither are great! Sounds pretty irresponsible to me ("over twice the limit")

You boys.......you go modding your cars and racing them on the public highways.

Shame on you.

Read it again lol, Was I a passenger, the driver of any of the cars or an observer in a helecopter?.

We all do stupid things and we all drive very fast as anybody going on meets will know, Hell I got overtaken by a copper with no blues on at silly speed so even the law go fast now and again, Dont jump the gun eh?

The VRS v ATR was posted up for knoledge and this is posted for knoledge, know incriminations are here, it was dark and dry and the roads near empty.

Oh and to the Thinkers, why do you mostly have road angels? lmao

So are you a good driver Ender?

lets face it if you were not then the result would be an accident?

oh and for clarity when you can post tales of whupping 911 GT3's F360's and some "real" fast stuff rather than an overweight 4x4 and a standard ST over an environment where there is no doubt the other drivers are a:trying b:focused c:competant it might be worth telling the world. Right now you have just made a bit of a plonker of yourself.

I was in the Army and had advanced driving Tuition but If im a good driver is of know relivence as its not clear who was driving what.

Simple facts are the VRS holds its own, and for the three people envolved doing what they did when they did meant only themselves where hurt if they screwed it up, hell its not hard to drive fast on an empty moterway is it? point and sqiurt?.

You boys.......you go modding your cars and racing them on the public highways.

Shame on you.

Just because some people want to make their cars better by doing some modifications to it, automatically means we are streetracers?

You do not know me - DO NOT judge me by what i drive.

you dont know Des - dont judge him from one tounge in cheek post.

:)

Exactly what I thought!, I think you may of jumped the gun on that one. :)

Point taken, i just get very annoyed because i always get that sort of comment. My apologies, it is a fair comment i am making however.

Good story,

I obviously have never and will never and iam sure nobody else has never even thought of racing another car NOT.

Of course everyone does it to a degree, has anyone ever done 40 in a 30 zone yes, everyone single driver at some stage in there life has been above the limit.

And most who shun him and the act are most likely to be that driver that cant stay in the correct lanes of roundabouts and cut people up, or carry on through a 40 zone at the previous limit of 60.

What iam saying is everyone does silly irresposible thing, but sometime people atleast do it away from town centres, on on roads that are slightly safer to do these things.

Cut the guy some slack, it was on open roads with clear visibilty and in cars that are designed to do 150mph

To be honest Im in histerics here, I have met alot of the briskys at meets, and driven alot of miles with them, we all have slightly modded cars for the most part and those who know me can vouch I drive safe and legal and am a normal down to earth guy with a sain mind.

Its a story!, did it happen? made up or false? on the playstation? was it posted to be a skoda hero or simply for people whome have mods and road angels but never break the law to amuse themselves with and know what their cars can do in anger?.

Chill i am a plonker, irresponcible, I dont think, Im a lier and a plonker(all claimed) but above all In reality to you Im a person on a forum in cyberspace with a tale posted because I knew you would act this way and knowing that amuses me makes me laugh a whole lot.

PINCH Of SALT ladys.
