felicia electrics

Featured Replies

hi,

i have just become the first time owner of a skoda, a 1998 s reg felicia estate, with only 31,000 on the clock, 9 months tax and 9 months mot the car took a bit of cleaning inside and the front seats have a few marks, seat covers will solve that problem. other than this the car is great. what i find strange is that without even putting the key in the ignition the radio and lights and cigarette lighter work, is this normal i a skoda.

thanks robert

 normal

ok cheers:) .

other than that, you will find that the sidelights, brake lights and reverse light will work without the key in too

Having the cig lighter work without the key can be useful for things like solar panel battery maintainers if you don't use your car for a while.

If you really want your stereo to switch off with the ignition you can take a connection from the fusebox of a wire that switches on when the ignition is on, and connect this to the appropriate wire behind the din connector.
