Underseat Storage area???

Featured Replies

Hey up all,

Ok bit of a wierd one really....... The mrs has just bought an '05 plate vRS a few weeks ago. Now i've just noticed that it hasn't got the storage space under the passenger seat. It has also never had the CD changer fitted either. Has anybody else got a vRS that hasn't got the storage drawer under either of the front seats???

I know it's less than a tenner to fit one so it's no big deal i was just a bit surprised not to find it there.

Cheers

Dave.

Heya,

I was just looking at this on my vRs. I've got one under the passanger side, but not on the drivers. Will be ordering though just for more storage!

Mine is a 55 and has the storage, for whats its worth !! Under the passenger seat.

Personally i would begin to worry about the cars history if a standard fitmant was missing mate.

I use mine to store my Sat Nav :P

Scarey , thats where mine is too !! Might have to start actually taking it into the house instead of being a lazy git and leavin it in the car all the time !

Bloomin' eck!!!!! Only took 6 days short of a year to get the first reply to my original post!!!!! :D:D:D

In the year since i posted i've been in to the dealer and also checked up myself and turns out there were a few that have not had under seat storage..... Possible that it was requested to not be fitted by the original purchaser of the car...... At some point i intend to get one fitted as it's not an expensive item but have never got round to it.

Cheers

Dave.

This would give more storage, but perhaps the reason they are not found on the drivers side is in case something pops out and then rolls underneath and gets tapped under the peddals? OK if you are putting maps books in it or the like, but imagine the fun if a can/bottle of something rolls out

i would have thought the reason there is not one on the drivers side is due to the height adjustment?

:confused:I have one under the drivers seat

I have made a note in my diary for a year hence less 6 days to check back and see if you have finally got around to fitting one. :(

Lol knowing Dave... no

Just to clarify for everyone.

I understood the storage box was a standard fitment under the passenger seat unless the CD changer is fitted when the box is switched to the drivers seat to make way for the CD changer. It doesn't interfere with the height adjustment.

Both mine have had the CD changer and hence the drivers seats box.
