I feel for you having your car damaged but I couldn't help being reminded of my recent holiday, walking through the narrow streets on market day having to dive into door ways whilst van drivers attempted to get through. It was quite shocking seeing them just ploughing on through taking out rails of stuff aswell as tables and chairs outside cafes :eek:

I have had this twice in the last week. This morning I came out of my house to go to work and found a car parked about half an inch off my bumper. I was so disgusted I took a picture of it

i havent told you the wost of it, after trying to drive off apparently unaware of hitting my car and nearly dragging it with him.

we had a heated discussion about him refusing to stop and give me his details i reached into his cab and turned his lorry off by his keys, he very childishly bent my finger back and i had to go up the hospital to get it checked out.

not only did he wreck my car, but ive come back from the hospital today after going to the fracture clinic because he broke my finger and they are deciding whether or not to put a screw in my hand:(

:iagree: A fracture counts GBH, so you've every right to report the guy for battery. Sure, the guy may not have intended to injure you, but folk have to realise that they cannot act as they please and not expect there to be consequences.

I reckon the public's perception of their actions having no consequences explains quite a bit in terms of the state of our society...

Oh, and if you do take the matter further, it may be a good idea to ask a mod to have the thread closed, just in case...

I wouldn't like to speculate on the legal position, I don't know how you would stand in terms of trying to take his keys.

It should almost cetainly be reported as it may transpire that he has broken the law by refusing to give his details at the scene.

gotta say dudes a HGV even a normal lorry (rigid) take a lot of concentration. I have passed my Class 2 and sometimes drive my dads for him. I always end up with a headache from concentration. It is not easy, so i'd have to cut the guy some slack.
