Mainly Peugeots and Honda Civics (recently replaced shape) i think around here. I have seen a few unmarked Octavia vRS Mk1's about though.

I would take one of those in any colour it was thrown at me.

Marked cars are Volvos, Fords and BMWs here with the Highways Agency favouring the Range Rovers rather than the X5's....

Saw one like that on Friday, it was in Polegate (East Sussex) Traffic Units yard... along with several other rather nice motors!

I saw two marked Impreza's on the M1 last week.

The old bill up here have unmarked Octys as well as marked Volvos and Imprezas. Would imagine they've also got Imprezas unmarked as well.

up here, we have mostly marked octy vRS's, one marked EVO, and the two unmarked cars are a mark I octy vRS (black) and a blue ford mundeo ST220....

silver marked evo up here too, mainley volvo v50's v70's a few vectras, and an unmarked black golf gt

I know Essex have a marked Evo, couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw it!

I know one force with an unmarked Octy 1.8T, but I'm not saying where its based.

Unmarked Vectras and a black octy in oxon

Round here we have marked Focus, Mondeo, Octy estate and an Accord. Plain cars tend to be Mondeo. We did have a Smart on trial once....

Mainly Mk2 Octy diesels up here, although Cambridge Police have an unmarked black Fabia vRS on a 54 plate, and an N reg 1.3 Escort including faded battenburg!!!

Ford XR6 sedans (unmarked) and Holden SS Commodores (marked & unmarked)

Hello over there!

We're all good now that the damn drought is broken. :D

What about you lot? How's the sheep?

Cheshire use marked Volvo V70's and Range Rovers for their traffic cars, unmarked cars there is a huge variety, including grey, silver and black Vectras, navy blue Signums, maroon (!) V70's, black Corsas and many, many more!

Question re the Elise . . . surely it's not really that useful as any sort of police car? One would assume it's targeted at high speed pursuits, which yes it has the performance to perform in, but if it had to box someone in, there's no weight or strength to it so it's hardly a safe or effective choice for that surely? One you have a car pulled over, there's nowhere for the criminal (I presume you have to await other units to arrive?) and I would imagine an extremely limited amount of kit on board?

Good point, when I got to drive one a few years ago it took me about 2 minutes to fold myself out of the car, so all a criminal would have to do to escape is hop out their car and leg it on foot!!;)

West Sussex police have a love affair with marked and unmarked Merc C and E classes. Beware of a white C-class estate on the M23, i'se seen it a few times now. You wouldn't know it was a police car.

They also use Grey Evo's but TBH I haven't seen one for a long time now.

I also saw an unmarked silver Octavia II vRS hatch in Redhill recently but obviously this is in Surrey.

Still plenty to go around :D Don't worry I'll save you a good looking one

perhaps we could start a "The AA Atlas of Great Britain inc unmarked police cars" lol

Most forces use the Volvo and Vauxhall brands because of the deals they obtain from the manufacturer using the Home Office buying power...

Vauxhall are considerably cheaper than Volvo which is surprising considering Volvo have always enjoyed the police market for many years over Vauxhall, yet the the Vauxhall cars being produced now appear to far outshine their Volvo counterparts

Seen yesturday in Kent mk2 Octavia VRS in Race Blue no stickers.

with reference to my earlier post of unmarked cars in TVP region (Berks, Bucks, Oxon) they have vectras, octys, they also have volvos and a saab.
