as far as I am aware it applies to any cars that could be used for business and be driven by anyone else. Some companies request that people with a car allowance insure their cars for anyone to drive for business therefore in theory anyone could drive/ride in it

mine is private paid for with an allowance and I am not required to have a sticker. I am the only one insured to drive it.

If they banned tobacco sales and imports in the UK surely that would do away with the need for stickers

I think if I was giving a colleague a lift at work I'd need to have a sticker to tell people they can't smoke (I'm quite capable of doing that myself) but if I gave them a lift home after work I wouldn't.

Still , on the whole the smoking ban is a very good idea even if it does result in some daft situations

If I have a sticker it will be stuck inside the glovebox lid.

The Vectra hire car has it on the sunglasses holder lid near the interior light and TBH you never notice it despite the size of the thing.
