Very nice.

*is there a wheel bolt missing on the front Passenger side ?*

How does it compare to the evo?

Love the front lower grille - looks serious! For me to do it, I'd need to fabricate a bracket for the long thin front license plates we have out here, or mount it just above the ground on the Cupra splitter itself......

No speed bumps in oil country?! It'd get knocked off in minutes down our street

yeah lots of speed bumps.....

Need to measure the plate size, but pretty confident it won't go much lower than the splitter lower edge.....

So, how does a fettled fubaru compare to an Evo mate?????

the evo is a big beast, and has power all the way up to 7000. but the skodas torque is far more superior. i am liking the instant go that the fabias got.

After 150 mile drive in bigw's uisng hardly and diesel, that was the deciding factor.

Obviously the evo would have it for breakfast no probs but the lag on the evo is quite bad and you really have to stamp on the pedal to get the power . but you can hit the power going round corners. lol

Not missing it at all, fuel or maintenance and wouldnt swap the fabia for one again.

It cost me 3500 this year to look after it. and the evo had full service history and only 60000 miles. very expensive car. 300 for a wheel bearing.

lol. yes when the garage were valeting it they had the wheels off and there was a wheel bolt missing in the pics.

on when i picked it up though.

Nice Fabia.

One of my customers has got an Evo VII and he knackered the rear transfer box on it, apparently Mitsubishi want around

that sounds about right. i got a 2nd hand rear diff from an 8 for 450. tell him to find one and fit yourself. easy enough job. take to a mitsu dealer to get the ayc blead. save him thousands.

Lovely car mate, was wondering if you know where I could get those wheel centre badges from?

Don't put the standard grille and plate back on - it looks bloody awesome as it is!!!

i dont know if it will fit back on anyway. think star have done some cutting to fit the cupra front mount intercooler. maybe fabricate some sort of number plate holder. sticker is horrible.

my mate told me the centre caps were from a group buy on briskoda.

i know this car, have driven it before, pretty quick and also made the front plate currently attached :D

i also made the stickers on the centre caps ;) was done for the original owner

nice looking wee beastie mate!

Keith, is this the one you were on about on EC a while back?

Very nice - looking good. I'd leave the front alone as well!

What wheels are they?

Steve

yeah, it would be the very same.

They look like OZ Superlegerras to me.

Don't think they are still made tho you could be lucky and find a set in stock somewhere ;)

Hmmm, you could be right - did look for some OZ writing at the bottom of the spokes, but may be the res of the photos.

If they are OZs, they may well be Ultralegerras instead :D

Steve

they are OZ, pretty sure if you peeled the vrs badge off of the centre caps it still has OZ on it.

i think they are oz, im actually looking to change them to something different, maybe octy vrs wheels, so if anyone wants a swap, let me know.

I dunno if the Octavia wheels fit over brembo's mate, worth checking first.

Oh, and visit complete ;) nipping to the park for an hour now

Nice car m8. Can i ask how have you put both grills in on the front?

I tried removing my grill earlier only it got stuck on the lever for the bonnet and also how have u managed to remove the centre where the original plate was?

All forms of help will be much appreciated as i dont want to FK it up!

Thanks

the millotec grill just bolts in mate, shouldnt have any clearance issues.

the bumper is a big job, all the number plate backing has to be cut out as well as all the lower plastic to get the mesh to fit flush .

i didnt like it so put it all back to standard.

Think it was Star who done this one.

just out of interest how do u fit the bonnet lever into the new mesh and remove it from the old grill?

i have been lookin on superskoda.com and decided when i get back after holiday im going to do it up with a new rear bumper and front as there is a slight scuff on the front from when my sis had it and a bad 1 on the rear from when some idiot hit it n did a runner!

how come u never liked the look?

IIRC the lower mess was fitted by the bodyshop who cut the bumper apart, which was jake saunders in broxburn. mess can be gotten in many places, sure the likes of halfords sell it. just make sure its painted or coated or you'll get the rusty look.
