BIG TIME

My regret is I didn't buy mine 3 years ago.

3 years I'll never get back.

Had my moments where I thought I'd bought a lemon but otherwise it's been pretty good. Still keep thinking I should've bought a Mondeo though.....

I agree, only regret with mine is that I didn't get it soon enough, and that i sold it too soon.

Wish I'd looked after it a bit better too...

So no, didn't regret buying it at all. :)

I regret not buying one, bought a brand new 55 plate 1.2 54bhp then traded to a 53plate 1.9tdi 100bhp.

Just have to switch to a octy VRS when the time comes :)

yeh!! should never have sold my octy RS to get fab RS!!:(

Yes, about three hundred yards down the road after picking it up from new, when it first stuttered!

Biggest regret is the poor performance of Skoda UK who couldn't care less about their unfortunate customers - that was more of a surprise after all the JD Power type propaganda.

I found that! The SUK customer service people were rude on the phone and quite aggressive. Not impressed.

My only regret is the Headunit doesn't play MP3's :( and you couldn't get the stanav upgrade (as I got the SE vRS).

Oh and the handling is a little soft - but I was driving a 1.3 Micra SR before which had koni hard springs (I do miss it from time to time untill I put my foot down past 2k RPM then I just smile) lol

Smiles all round then ;)

9 months on I'm still chuffed to bits with mine. Stones and gravel seem like it too :D

Wilsonian: Jabba ARB is a must for handling!

Yeh me too. Didn't last through :D

I regret buying a new one. It's horrible watching your car de-value majorly in the period of 6 months! :(

Are values starting to soften then , theres a nice silver one at Benfield Skoda Newcastle with under 10K on the clock for

On to the point of the thread, have no regrets whatsoever with the car even after it's little teething problem with the leaky rear doors. :)

Had mine for 2 years now, best car i've ever owned, don't regret it at all.

if somebody gave me nearly what id paid for it it would be gone in a heart beat!!!.....you think skoda uk are bad try skoda ireland!!!......service manager told me my car was being dealt with the skoda ireland warranty manager for 3 months!!.....when i got hold of him myself he said i only found out about your car 3 days ago!!!.......so that was 3 months of ringing the service dept and he bothered his *** to do anything!!!!:( .......not a happy boy!!

Mines an 05 and has had 5 visit's to the stealers for various warranty replacement's. A quick evaluation of my car is the brakes are crap, the interior trim is loose and has been replaced. The car creeks and rattles more than any other car I have owned before. The paint is too thin and chip's easily on the bonnet.

The best part of the Vrs is the engine which is superb and the rest is just joe average. I will probably part with this car for an 08 but unless the new Vrs is a stormer then my hard earned will be heading into a different manufacturer (probably Saab 9-3 convertible).

Dealer in Leeds is also crap and managed to badly damage my car whilst it carried out a seat replacement!.

Car is great and overall I love it to bits. Yes it could be better in some areas but FFS it only costs 12grand it is a lot of car for the money i think.

Sadly though unless skoda warranty come through good next week I fear I would never buy a new skoda again so far have found customer service at dealers and by SUK to terrible. Trying the 3rd different dealer plus a warranty claim to SUK next week.

Its a shame as they are letting down an excellent product.

So my verdict

Car great:rofl: customer service terrible.

You quote it's a great car but the dealers and SUK suck?. If the car was so great it would'nt need to go for warranty work in the first place.
