I have just picked up my new car and the electric window switch is damaged, only noticed on the drive home.

It works fine but the black/greyish coating is peeling off the part that has the window picture on it and I was wondering how easily these are removed and what sort of price they are?

It's a Passat 06 not a Skoda but thought as it's VAG that it would be similar to Superbs or Octavias.

Any help would be appreciated.

What shape 06 passat is it?

Called VW dealer and the guy in the Parts Department said it should be a warranty claim as it's a painted finish.

Should be a good result esp. as I didn't mention warranty to him, unless he knew it's a common fault.

At least if it is a warranty job then they can have the job of taking the door card off and fitting it.

That's why you buy a car with warranty.
