AND DYSLEXIA IS VERY COMMON

It's a very commonly used excuse for bad English at any rate!

Still, have a nice day

Likewise - they even went the extra mile to make me some Subaru silver metallic spray cans which they "weren't technically allowed to make in store" when I asked them :thumbup:

Chris

Its lead based, as it will have a very small amount of yellow number 2987 which contains lead. We were not supposed to use that colour even tho most stores still carry it ;)

you probably knackered the subs by underpowering them.

:iagree:

Let me clear this up - you ran not one, but TWO subwoofers off of the speaker output of a headunit of two weeks??  And you are questionning Halfords intelligence? If that didn't wreck the subs, it will have wrecked the headunit!

And yes, Halfords are awful. I wouldn't let them look in my car, let alone touch it.

Which is why I was extremely grateful that they "didn't" go the extra mile and make up 2 cans for me there and then. Doing so would have been irresponsible and I'm sure against company policy. ;)

The halfords near you might be awful tom, but most are fine.;)

:rofl::rofl: Rules are there to be broken. We go the extra mile, endangering our lives to help our customers out :rofl:

Aren't Halfords just a 'supermarket' of car and bike accessaries?

should your really expect staff to have a sound mechanical background

poor english,

well im sorry but i think the internet is a place for relaxing to spend spare tme on

and if I want to use crappy english I will.

AND DYSLEXIA IS VERY COMMON SO BEFORE YOU INSULT "BAD ENGLISH" CHOOSE YOUR WORDS WISELY

Also in the previous post about sharing the braincell that was quoted from someone else (im not saying who). In a different forum. - The idea is not totally mine!

Oh here we go with the dyslexia card  There are things called dictionaries. Not a case of crappy english or abbreviation, just completely incorrect spelling what was I was pointing out.

Maybe YOU should take your own advice and think before you speak then? Instead of throwing accusations around?

Can't even think up your own insults either?? dear dear!

Fight fight fight

I'm, sorry, I cant help it, I enjoy it too much :( lol

To be fair I dont start it!

Oh here we go with the dyslexia card

Oi get off my soapbox :P Next you'll be saying there's no such thing as ADHD :rofl:

There isn't anysuch thing as ADHD have you not seen the south park episode with the doctor and the kids in class and his self help book "Behave before i pop you in the mouth"

F**k there's no such thing as Tourette's either, sh**, b***ocks, wan*er :D

there are a few halrauds i've been in where the staff were actually quite good. the one in gosport springs to mind(ickle tiny store)

i occasionally buy halfords tools too if i need them in a hurry, they aren't the best in the world but they do the job! i find that the plating chips off from the sockets(which isn't good if you are rebuilding an engine because bits end up inside) but then what do you expect for

Sorry but ive been dying to say this:

THERE'S ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT FIGHT!!!!:orb_wise_

What are the chances of that eh?

Went to halfords to get a quote for alloy wheels for my felicia. They had 4x100 pcd(same stud pattern as felicia) for

i too am here to take offence. there is not a person in the store in which i work would, or does, survive more than 2 weeks if they dont have or pick up some useful info. the key i keep repeating is to look at the staff cars outside. see what they drive.

actually the customer is right 99.9% of the time!

yeah, for about 99.9% of the time they're within earshot. then they're wrong. customers are always wrong. i've had customers swear blind over things they dont have a clue about, like how their 13yr old son is tall for his age and will fit on an 18" frame becasue its reduced.

luckily i dont sell shockwave bikes, my current line is 'this bike is crap, and im not going to sell it to you'.

now, you'd be surprised how often this help and advice gets shunned. then we lose the will to live and just let the customer talk themselves into a BMX anyway because their 6 year old really wants one for doing tricks and stunts and crap.

have fun dying lad.

oh, by the way mate, i'm not trying to start anything, but dear me have you ever fitted a felicia battery? i mean i love skoda's but i never, ever want to spend an hour disconnecting stuff at the side of the road so i could squeeze a battery under the strut brace again! i would refuse it too if i was asked to fit one...

Not only that but when you remove the battery there is the possibilty you will have to reset the throttle body. Do you see halfords buying a VAS system just so they can do a battery for 4.99 every 9 months on a felica......... i think not!

  • Author

well actually the thing that got me about the battery was the fact that

I payed for fitting and was told they can fit it, and when i got there after the battery was ordered in they said

No we don't fit batteries to felicia's!

I HAD PAYED 4 IT

I didn't say it didn't exist, just that anyone who can't spell claims to be dyslexic!

Why didn't you just undo the strut brace

it only takes a couple of minutes

well sadly i do have dyslexia and it would be nice if you stopped talking about it, because its not nice to insult peoples english, wether you like it or not.

Fair enough already some people think halfords is rubbish some dont.

Im sure not every store is bad!

everyone is entitled to their own opionion

This part of the forum is getting out of hand!

and its become a fight zone.

So im asking for the moderators to stop all future posts here!

Remember why we are here becasue we drive skoda's.
