Swissol Convert!!!!!

Featured Replies

Well gave the car a good wash yesterday and popped it's first application of Swissol Onyx on too. What can i say........ But, god it's good and it's only the first application.:eek::eek:

I must say i did feel a little strange following the instructions and applying it to the car with my hands rather than an applicator but it was defo worth while. We had a little shower last night but the shine is still there this morning and ytou wouldn't have thought it had even rained last night.

Can't wait to see what it looks like as i build it up over the next few months.

Anyhows some pics............................

excellent shine :)

very nice. you might get stopped by old bill for dazzling other drivers lol. 2 & 3 pics almost looked like the car was made from chrome. how is this stuff priced?

Ive been usng it for 2 years now. Awesome stuff. Well worth the cost!!

Regarding layers.I found that the finish benefits from being stripped off every 12 months with Meguires Scratch X and a layer of Turtle Wax Gloss Guard Top Coat Sealer followed by Swissol Onyx

I would not recommend many layers of Swissol

Hope this helps

was thinking how nice the car was until i saw the sticker in the back window......... Never mind though!

Lokks brill

Bit too aggressive on number plates though

Most people can't afford to layer Swissol waxes! But I don't think it does any harm, it's just unnecessary.

Lovely finish! Nice slogan on yer rear numberplate , too!

Looking good mate!

did you apply it straight over the cleaner fluid like it says or was it over a glaze?

To be honest i gave her a wash with my normal stuff....... I'm at work and the exact name of the stuff escapes me but it's the stuff Diamond Brite advise to use when you've had the car diamond brited. I got a 5 litre container of the stuff from the warehouse in Sheffield just after i bought the car last year.

Dried off with my water magnet....... Then applied the swissol onyx. The directions state to leave it in the sun for a few hours after application which brings out the shine. It does seem a lot better today than it did yesterday just after i'd finished it.

The wheels were cleaned with AutoGlym wheel cleaner then applied chemical guys wheel protector.

Exhaust had the chemical guys wheel protector applied too.

I'll see what it looks like the week before the VW festival in August and may put another application on if it warrants it.

Cheers

Dave.

i doubt it will need it tbh.

Give it a week then wash it and then buff it up again with some quick detailer

My god, you need sunglasses, Do you mind me asking what other products you used when you washed your car?

Cheers...

Products used were.......

AutoSmart autowash. (This is the diamond brite car shampoo that i got direct from the suppliers warehouse in Sheffield. It has a different name when bought retail).

Autoglym wheel cleaner

Chemical guys wheel guard (also used on the exhaust pipe)

Swissol Onyx wax.

Only other things used are a meguirs lambswool wash mit, meguirs water magnet cloth, and a chemical guys ultra plush micro-fibre buffing cloth.

A week on and there's a fine coating of dust but the shine is still as good....... I can honestly say that it's the same kind of look as it was on it's first day on the road.

Cheers

Dave.

Wow, not a huge list then i was expecting a lot more, just been pricing up the swissol, its a tad bit expensive, but it makes your motor look fantastic, cheers

It is expensive but if all the prep work is done correctly and the wax is applied right it lasts so much longer than the cheap stuff

Its also easier to reapply (ie top up) later on
