Renault Clio 1.2 Turbo 100 bhp

Featured Replies

Understand Renault are now doing a 1.2 Turbo Clio with 100bhp. " Anyone Driven One. ".................They sound Intresting.

That is correct so the site says : Renault

decent prices too.....

Hmmm, should be nicely mappable too!

the turbo must be TINY!... the 1.2 was 75bhp anyway..

Its to replace the 1.4 16v that they did.. in the last gen clio there was no difference in performance, and the 1.4 was crap on fuel..

i can see it now.. ***** will buy this car and put dump-valves on them

Whoooooshhhhh :D

could be a tad entertaining, althought the performance may be blunted somewhat by the car weighing the same as a three bed semi......

yeah how rubbish is that, the turbo only gives a 33% increase in power!!

what they have probably done is fit a smaller turbo to give the kind of power they want with as little lag as possible so it probably won't have great remapping performance, maybe 125bhp or so maximum.

You'd have to do a supercharger on top :P

Thing is I suppose they want reasonable power with good fuel economy and low emissions - I expect more and more cars to be turboed up again for that reason alone ;)

Nice engine tho.. shifted pretty well and loved havving the crackers wrung out of it, and if this clio handles owt like the last one it would upset furby owners

Im sure someone on here has some pics of my Clio vRS/WRX that was at the first Welsh meet.. :D i was in the group with jason in furby mk1, and FabTDI with his tuning-box'ed Furby... led by Jon in the slowblackskoda which probably had a blowing exhaust... it was making quite a bit of noise

This engine's also avilable in the new 'Twingo' GT isn't? I'd imagine it would be lighter than the Clio and its 1,000 airbags so even more fun?

Supose the big thing with cars of this type is how they go round the corners, and for me it's still the Panda 100HP that would top my 'fun, small, warmish' car list
