Well, I've finally fitted a 'styling' mod to my car. May not be to everyones taste but I like it

It's something I want to do to my car, I think it looks much better than the chrome grill, especially on a black car.

Had it proffessionally painted ie. baked in an oven, but I cant help worrying about stone chips as I do a lot of motorway miles, time will tell I suppose.

My black grille is over a year old and so far ive only had one chip that was easily touched up

i just give it over zealous coats of autoglym gloss top coat and it seems to have staved off any major chippage

Looking great....... I really think loosing the chrome surround on the black Furby & Octy vRS's makes the car look more aggressive & menacing. I did mine around 6 months ago...... I also do lots of Mway miles and have only had to touch up 2 tiny little marks so not too bad so far.

I might pop one of those new styleee vRS badges on mine now too cos they're growing on me.

I think it looks great. I'd bought a new grill surround and tried spraying it myself but the paint didn't take to well, even though I'd sanded back the chrome.

Steve - how much did it cost you to get sprayed, - I was quoted silly prices hence why I tried to do it myself.

You spend more time in my street than on the motorway!... So i would not worry too much about stone chips...

He has, but he's done the slats and not the chrome surround.
