Fq300

Featured Replies

I drove one today, in the early hours, and I scared myself.

I asked myself 'why does anyone need anything with more power, better handling, and ultimately faster'

I'm glad I drive my humble Fabia, otherwise I would be dead or banned for life within a day.

I must be getting old...:(

"getting" ??? :P Wouldn't mind a go in one of those.

That's like saying the dinosaurs lived recently.

Cheers Jason:finger: :D

The last 'fast' car I drove was a Porsche 911, several ( about 10 ) years ago, and I thought that was quick, and handled pretty well....

This just blew me away...

Without saying too much, the roads were empty ( it was 04:30 ) the engine was warm, and I know the locale well.

I think I am a lot greyer this afternoon, and apparantly I used 100 miles worth of fuel in 20 minutes and about 20 miles:D

You must have been keen to be bahaving badly at that time of the morning.... .......personally it's big Z's until 7 for me..:D

I was at work, and had a 'window' of 30 minutes:D

I had time to calm down before I resumed....

Jon, I wish I could drive like you dance........

This chaps brother has an FQ430 ( I think he said that, I may be wrong, the numbers confuse me ) and is awaiting delivery of the latest incarnation at a price approaching, or just over 30k. and a 'test drive' would be possible.

I could kill myself for free, and 30k would make a bloody good wake:rofl:

That's almost a compliment :D

From me mate, that almost equates to hero worship.

( Almost has an awful lot of variables, as I'm sure you know:rolleyes: )

I almost tested the limit of my abilities driving this, and if I would have had more time, I would have , and therefore exceeded them, so thankfully, for me, I didn't.

Raw, loud, very quick, superb handling are the pluses

Raw, loud, very thirsty, cheap Jap interior, and enormous running costs are the minuses.

Would I buy one, NO

Would I borrow one..........:D

No FQ430, probably an FQ340. Better balanced and thus better to drive than the 400. Quicker on twisty roads, but if the 400 can get spooled up on a flowing a-road then maybe not. I'd have a 340 or 360 before a 400 anyday. But then again, I'd have a Litchfield Impreza Type25 before any of them. Driven them all, and they're all a hoot.

That's it, an FQ340....

The FQ300 had much more ability as a car, than I have as a driver, and compared to most of my mates, I'm not bad ( that doesn't say a lot though, as I have only got 4 friends, and one of them is a cat, another is my 12 month old niece, and another is my wife, and she's a crap driver:D )

At least your honest :D

i thought the fabia was quicker than an evo? ;)

No, but can be quicker than a Scooby in certain situations
