I'll need to pick up 4 tyres sooner rather then later, am using Dunlop sport 9000's at the min but I just use my car to do a bit of traveling and going to work (I have a motorbike for that need for speed). On my gone but not forgotten Golf Gti I picked up some rather tasty looking tyres called Millenium which according to the garage were made by an Avon sister company. They were about

My local tyre dealer stocks Infiniti/Infinity?? tyres.

Says he fits them to loads of Fabias and they're

Someone else on Brisky runs them on vRS and rates them too.

Another vote for the Hankooks. I have been through 4 full sets of them now and can't fault them.

Remember now that we are starting to see through the tyre snobbery thing, even the big players, ie Ford and Volkswagen send cars out of the factory wearing Hankooks, me, I'm still suffering from the idea that Michelin end up being good value for money - especially when you buy them from Costco. I just hate Dunlops in general - which was until rescently a problem as my wife's Polo came with Dunlops and I have (whineing) Dunlop directional things on my Passat. Roll on the next 20% Michelin promotion at Costco - and that the whineing is really just the feathering edges of the SP???? !

Got the T1-R's today been out for a long drive to start to wear them in and they are streets ahead of the Michelin Pilots that were on before.... road noise is reduced dramatically.

Not sure what the wear rate is like however.

Ah yes

I know someone who had a set of Infinity Ditchfinders on a Vectra GSI and they lasted as long as the car did...

Go and see the guy at Malvern Tyres on Llantarnam Park industrial. He can get anything pretty much and they are not expensive.

 I shall give them a bell tomorrow.

RARB is cracking btw!

I've just paid

I tried Toyos once and got 3000 miles out of them on my golf. Will stick to Kumho KU-31s for the forseable future.

3000 miles? Yikes, that's not very good is it?

I know! What were you doing to them Schrick? A lot of 1/4 miles?!

Or was the Golf not setup properly?

Steve

I run michelin pilots. I was under the impression that the toyo and yoki's were a soft compound so I went for a harder compound tyre. Paid more but hopefully they should last longer

Which flavour Pilots did you get? Primacy, Sport, or Exalto? I've run the Primacy and the Sport and found that they didn't last any longer that other tyres and cost twice as much. Sport had a nice amount of grip but the Primacy were 'orrid and I couldn't wait to get rid of them :D

I need the standard vRS size 205/45/16 please :D

Can get the ZE512 off eBay

Pilot Primacys have to be the worst tyres I have ever fitted to a car (Except perhaps that

Good grief! What do they add to the compound of a Premacy? Granite?!
