Run them 36 on the front Davy, This'll minimise shoulder wear:thumbup:

Thanks for the advise Mike.:thumbup::thumbup:

Done anything about the mirrors yet?

  • Author

No i never bothered in the end. :o You never know though. Imay get round to it eventually.

Excellent choice squire

I'd have to say I would run them lower than 36 though. You may reduce shoulder wear, but I reckon running that pressure would increase wear down the centre.

I always ran my 16s at 2.2bar (32psi) and have good, even wear on tyres.

Just my 2p.

I've got them set to around 35-36 on each tyre. They were nitrogen filled but only to around 30psi so had to top up with normal air!!!!! Why don't tyre places check with the owner as to what they should be filling tyre to if they are going to start using nitrogen!!

Cheers

Dave.

What, you mean you've not got your own nitrogen supply Dave?!

That's what comes from being on the wrong side of the Pennines I suppose ;)

Hi Dave

Hey up Chris... Good to see you back in the Skoda fold.

Most people seem to rate the T1R's.. They look good too. :) Road noise is no worse than the Conti's that were on before. I'm not too heavy footed so hopefully they'll last a while too.

Hopefully we'll meet up again at a meet sometime this summer.

Cheers

Well as it was such a lovely day today and i'd finished my last night shift of 5 weeks of nights this morning!!!! I thought i'd finally get the DIY short shifter mod done.

Took about 2 hours from starting with the pipe cutter, through smoothing out the interior of the gearknob to finally finishing it off. Not actually driven using it yet but am off out in a bit to visit a friend and her new arrival in the hossy so will give it a go then.

Many thanks to Basil for a great 'how to' guide.:thumbup::thumbup:

Cheers

Looks good Dave

And an amusing collection of add-ons to the transmission tunnel too :D

Steve

Looks good mate

Where did you get the inspiration for doing this mod? :P:D:D:D

One question though...I saw a text from Ange to Michelle, saying that Dave could do with a kn0b extension, and you've gone and shortened it!

I take it she was on about the gearkn0b...:rofl::rofl::rofl:
