Was bored this afternoon while i was waiting to go and pick up the mrs' vRS from it's service and created this.......

Furby.flv - Video - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Mrs WaveyDavey has started some cosmetic changes to her vRS too.... Nothing out of the ordinary but i'll get some pictures on this thread when the car has had a good clean.

She's on about taking it to the joint Brisky / SCN Yorkshire meet at the end of the month too!!!!

Cheers

Dave.

Nice work Dave - but not bored enough to blank your plate in each shot? ;)

Hi Dave I am thinking about a few practical mods for my pretty much standard vRS - the upper strut brace - has it had much effect on the car and if so what difference have you noticed

cheers Mike

Ok here's the run down on my little baby just over a year from when i bought her. I'm still loving the experience as much as day one...... if not more with a couple of the more recent alterations / additions to the car.:thumbup::thumbup:

Car

2006 Skoda Fabia vRS in black pearl with ESP, Xenons & Cruise control.

Engine

Dragon Digital PD Tuning Box (Currently on setting 7 of 7), Seat Ibiza Cupra PD160 air intake, Green cotton panel filter, Seat PD130 engine soundproofing, SMIC wheel arch venting mod.

Transmission

Standard six speed gearbox

Suspension

Seat Sport front upper strut brace (resprayed green and badged as Skoda Motorsport) & Jabba Sport Rear ARB (In green).

Brakes

Standard

Wheels & tyres

Standard 16" alloys, Continental SportContact2's.

Styling

Colour-coded grille surround, MkII vRS grille badge, Seat Leon Cupra-R front splitter, vRS badging on front doors, Renault/Bosch aero wipers, VW rear aero wiper, Honda S2000/CTR bee-sting aerial, Philips SilverVision indicators front & rear, Headlight protectors, Wind deflectors/baffles fitted on doors, German Skoda dealership numberplate surrounds.

Interior

Dash mounted drinks holder, 'Elegance' cubby drawer, LED Interior lighting, Dash mounted vRS badge, Storage pockets either side of centre console.

Ice

Standard 'Symphony' HU with Connects2 unit & 8gb Ipod Nano 3G.

Performance

Unconfirmed..... Approx 160-170 BHP.

'To do'

I plan to replace the existing brake pads with something that has a little more bite at some point as mine seem very average compared with the mrs' vRS standard brakes which stop on a sixpence!!!

If i get the money i'd also like to get a seat surgeons leather re-trim in black leather with green stitching..... We'll see.

One last cosmetic mod may be to replace the rear FABIA & vRS wording with the new style wording from a new fabia and the vRS badge from an OctyII as they are both approx the same width.

Cheers

Dave.

Hey up Mike,

As you can see i've got both the strut brace and the rear ARB so the car feels a lot tighter with them both fitted. To be honest the strut brace on it's own doesn't make a lot of difference. It's a cheapish mod though at

The mrs has already said she's coming to the next one..... Whether we bring just one or both cars will be decided nearer the time.

Give us a shout if you organise another as i don't always notice the NW meets.

Cheers

Dave.

Will do Dave

I tend to pop a link into the meet sections of the adjoining areas too, just in case people are interested and fancying travelling a bit further :)

Ok i had a moment of weakness....... Ok it could well have been alcohol fueled to be honest....... I bought some more LED festoon lights for the rear numberplate. In the past i had gone for the 7 or 9 LED units but this time went for a couple of the ones that just have 2 of the huge diodes instead. They'll probably only last a month or two like the others in the past but we'll see.......

If they do go quick i may have a theory as to why. This set have a little note on the packaging stating not to subject them to shocks etc.... Could the shock from the boot being closed each time be what is causing LED's to go so quickly when fitted to the fabia?????

Cheers

Dave.

Interesting theory about the LEDs Dave - good luck with them. As you might know, I tried some last year but took them out fairly quicker after one of them blew.

So would be good to know the outcome. Also need someone with a Lexus or BMW to find out what they use, as I know at least the current IS200 has LED plate lights, as do at least the current facelifted 1 and 3-Series.

Well the LED numberplate bulbs have been in four months now and they are still working ok...... Touch wood!!!!!

They were of the large diode type rather than the multiple small LED type and i'll try and find a link later to the one's i got. Think i might get another set for the mrs car now and then one bulb as a spare.

*****EDIT*****

The one's i got were these from this ebay seller....... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Hi-Power-LED-39mm-239-254-272-Festoon-No-Plate-BULB_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1683Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318QQ_trksidZp3911Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem360126518563QQitemZ360126518563QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
