I may be getting some pocket money to spend on my Octy!

It is not strictly unmodified as it has S3 rims, retrofit Aero wipers and I am bidding on the bay for an S2000 stubby aerial at the moment but the rest is as Mr Skoda intended ;)

So, what is the best use of

A rear ARB should be top of your list

I would have thought that

Id say so.

Especially if you go with the Whiteline group buy that's running right now...

Sounds like a plan, but not sure if the funds will be made available in time for a group buy :(

I would probably be looking at a generic map from either Star or Jabba (through a reseller up here)!

Rear ARB and a remap job done mate

Will a standard dump valve take a remap or will it need to be replaced as well?

They reckon to change it but Ive had no issues in about 4-5 months.

Neuspeed 28mm Rear ARB

Id definitely do the remap and rear ARB. You really need to get yours done jay.

I know,i know,i know!

Got to spend a few grand on the house,so remap will have to wait until october.

Car is having new rubber in next couple of weeks then it's all ready for either custom or stage 2 remap!:)

i'd say nothing but remap/brakes/suspension as all the other little bits and bobs gain you nothing but noise and shiney bits.

my car had samco tip, blueflame exhaust with sports cat, CAI, samco pipes, FMIC, different DV, jabba remap, boost controller, bigger down pipe and it made 201bhp i think at Marlin RR, goochie had nothing but a remap and made 200bhp or so. basically we made the same power but i had spent over a grand more than him :(

the FMIC i don't mind as i have now got a bigger turbo and it helps to keep the power on runs and in hot weather but the rest isn't worth it.

Thats why Im loathed to spend any more on the engine as its diminishing returns! 201bhp sounds low!

its a fairly realistic figure rather than the 240/250 that some tout.

maybe, but it made somewhere in the region of 220bhp on the rolling road of the people that mapped it

True, but Id have to say mine feels like it has more than 20bhp more. Perhaps its deceiving, who knows, or theres a better spread of that power.

probably, get on a decent RR like JKM/star/awesome to find out what you've got. there might be a RR day at Marlin(milton keynes area) next month if you want to pop over.

I would be interested if this happens :)

If you want better sounds, baffle the door speakers, then upgrade the head unit if needed.

If you want better go, start with a damper and/or brake upgrade. Power is nothing without stop and control.
