You were definitely right about it being a marmite mod... seems to have split the site down the middle!

I'm reserving judgement till I've seen it with spacers...

Yeah I think you have summed it up pretty well there mate but I would say that the 19's were going to be hard to beat......

I need to sort those spacers out sooner rather than later....got them but just didn't put them on...15mm on the front and 20mm on the rears to come....

I always thought a "Ricer" referred to a modified car from the Far East (Japan usually), but according to Wikipedia it's

"Ricer is also a derogatory term for a person who tunes their car in a flashy and pointless fashion"

So I guess there are plenty of "Ricers" that aren't from the Far East too!

Chris

Thanks for that Chris, now I understand the meaning of the word......I suppose everyone has an opinion and that's fair enough but I wouldn't class my car or the mod as being anything near a 'Ricer'?!?!?!

I didnt mean it looked like a ricer, its just the sort of wheels often seen on modded Civic type R's, Skylines etc.

All power to you for trying it though, you dont know until you try, the thousands I have spent on mods that were then superceded dosent bear thinking about

Nah I think your spot on mate......they are the sorts of wheels that you would find on those cars but looking on Edition38, UK-MKIV's, Audi-Sport, etc black is the new silver......

LOL.....doubt that but thought I would give it a go.......

Thanks mate.....I agree with you on that point.....they are two completely different looks.....my girlfirend prefer's the black rims but I think that's more because she is scared of kerbing the silver 19's.....LOL!!!

You mean you let 'her' drive it! You fool! LOL :P

I sure do mate.....she is a very good driver and her A4 Avant is wearing my Superb 17" Solid's.....she loves the modified cars and the attention....LOL!!!

For me it looks absolutely spot-on. Never been a fan of Sahara Beige, (what an awful name), but yours really looks the business.

Prefer the black 18's - think the 19's were a bit bling/overkill.

Top car, sir.

Where do you get those ASA alloys from...? Gotta say I do like the black, but I like the silvers as well....

Every credit for giving them a go, sadly, I too prefer the 19" wheels. Maybe some silver 18" deep dishes would do the trick, a bit "euro" style.

Still loving the car though, got to be my favourite Superb. I just dont think that the black works with the colour of the car.

Thanks mate.....one of the only one's that likes the black wheels and I think you have the same opinion as my Mrs....she thinks the 19's are a little too much.....LOL!!

The colour was a bit off putting when I bought it originally as I was not a fan of beige......I mean I am only 27.....but like most things the colour grows on you and I think that the slightly less common colours always look nice if they have been modified a little....

You can find them stocked by a few places mate.....Dubmeister stock them and there are usually a few sets on Ebay (UK and DE)......think I am with you on liking both of them mate!!

Some Borbet's would be great but they don't make them in a big enough rim size so that's my favourite option out of the window but I would love some BBS LM's but sadly funds do not allow....

Thanks for your comment...

Want my two pennies Si....!!

The colour actually suits your car, which isn't what I expected...

However, as the car has been slammed it makes the wheels look really small under the rims...

Even though I'm one of the many that want your silver ASA's they do look better than these.

Sorry mate

Paul

LOL.....doubt that but thought I would give it a go.......

"Shopping list" next, eh?

Please don't ;)

Actually, they did make a 5x112 Borbet A, they're rare as rocking horse shht covered hens teeth. Saw a set on German eBay once, finished at

Looks nice but I have to agree with the crowd - I think the silver wheels looked better on your colour car.

More than welcome to add your 2p mate......

I am a massive fan of 'slammed' cars and this is one of the reasons I bought these wheels as I knew I cou;dn't get the Superb any lower on the 19's so with these 18's it was easy....I wanted to keep a small profile and width tyre and it looks kind of 'retro' if you ask me at the minute....

Think it's unanomous that the 19's look better but I fancy keeping these 18's for the winter months......I have only cleaned the polished lip so far as the black isn't something I have to worry about on the wheel centres....

Thanks for your honesty mate!!

No worries mate.....most people off this forum agree with the crowd as well...

they're alright, but the 19's were better!

Sorry mate - not a nice addition IMHO!
