Congratulations Welshy.

You are the first person I have added to my ignore list:thumbup:

What's funniest is that I haven't seen any of his posts here, yet I still have a fair idea of what kind of stuff's he's been saying

How sad am I? I had nothing better to think about on the way into work this morning than how full of poo either Welshy or his (imaginary?) friend must be.

[pedant mode]

So taking everything posted by him as gospel, his friend has taken the cash equivalent of a company car and put it towards their RS4.

Let's start with what Welshy's friend supposedly gets from their work. For the sake of argument, Welshy's friend is entitled to an A4 2.0TDI SE saloon. This works out as £299 per month on contract hire. A year-old RS4 saloon will still set you back £45,000, which works out as £875-ish per month on a decent APR over 5 years. Therefore Welshy's friend is short by £578 per month.

Next, if Welshy's friend is the dirty fraudster that appears to be the case, then 20,000 miles per year at £0.40 per mile equates to £667 per month. However, at 30mpg, and using super unleaded at £0.98 per litre, the monthly fuel costs are £248 per month.

Then there's road tax (£20 per month), insurance (£65 per month say) and servicing (£50 per month say).

So Welshy's friend supposedly will be getting £966 from their company, but will be having to shell out £1260 per month. Sure £294 per month nett is a small price to pay for driving an RS4 IMHO, but Welshy's friend is allegedly making a profit from driving the car, which has just been proven not to be true. So much for being a qualified accountant!

Excuse me while I get a life...

What was I thinking? Welshy's the person who brought us solar-powered air con...:D

That's 15 minutes of my life I'll never get back again... :( ;)

Sure £129 per month nett is a small price to pay for driving an RS4 IMHO, but Welshy's friend is allegedly making a profit from driving the car, which has just been proven not to be true. I think welshys lost a bit more than that

You do actually get solar powered air con, I'm in the middle of installing one at the moment ;)

Hey, I'm not saying it's not possible on something like an office building, I'm just saying there isn't sufficient surface area on a car to fit enough PV cells to power an air con compressor!

(Which is what our boy was suggesting at the time! ;) )

:D, Fortunatly for me I never read that thread, nice principle though, maybe a windmill on the roof of the car geared down to turn the compressor would do it :D

Trouble is the bigger the car, the more powerful the compressor needs to be to keep it cool :P

Chris

Chris

And the bigger the bullsh*t the bigger the soil pipe needed to move it on

So, what does that say about our friend ?

SPT - now there's an excellent mod

Chris
